While Erika missed the chance when Komichi visited the dorms with Touko, she finally gets her day in the spotlight. As expected, it went how I imagined and then some.
If you recall, it’s obvious that Kao wants Komichi to invite one of her friends over. Since Erika didn’t get the chance to hang out with Komichi when she came over to her dorms, Komichi inviting her over came as no surprise.
Of course, Komichi didn’t ask until later, more on that. Still, Komichi is making it obvious with certain questions mentioning no school on weekends, asking about houses with leaky roofs, and the likes. Not to mention, Komichi is looking at Erika quite a lot lately, which makes her look like she is hinting at something. That is until Erika invites her to come with her to the library.
While Erika is reading a book about fishing, Komichi seems interested in the book she is reading. Of course, Komichi reveals that she fishes with a rod she made. She shares her experience playing at a lake near her house with Kao.
As expected, this gets Erika interested that Komichi asks if she wants to hang out tomorrow. Yep, she finally figured it out. With that, they made a promise with a pinky swear. Still, it’s good to know that Hiyori and Koharu aren’t the only girls interested in fishing.
The next day, Erika arrived at the lake with what looks like a diving suit and a fishing hat. Yes, she has a fishing rod. Eventually, Komichi finds her and strips into her school swimsuit to go and hug her.
Furthermore, it’s nice that Erika managed to catch a fish with Komichi’s help. Yes, better luck than what Koharu had when she tried fishing the first time. I guess all that research beforehand paid off. Yep, they even took a picture of it.
Since Erika is all wet, she wants to use the bathroom and change into her dry clothing. Sure, she isn’t as gutsy to change behind the trees as Komichi suggested, she eventually invited her to her house. Yep, Kao seems happy that Komchi uphold her end of the bargain and have her come over. I must admit that it’s adorable seeing Kao using a big butterbur leaf as an umbrella.
Either way, it’s nice to see Erika and Komichi go in the bath together. While Komichi seems jealous that her mom and little sister already warmed up to her, Erika eventually changes her tune after the visit. More on that later. Of course, Komichi washed Erika’s back, but declines the offer for Erika to do the same. I guess we aren’t there yet.
Of course, while they dried each other’s hair, Kao came into the room. When Erika asks something about Komichi to Kao, she eventually says something embarrassing and hits her butt. Yep, she went there saying that hitting Komichi’s butt has a noise sound to it. She even shows embarrassing photos of Kao that Komichi gets jealous.
When Komichi’s mother drops Erika off, they allow Erika to come visit her at any time. At long last, Erika finally wants Komichi to address her by her first name without honorifics and start addressing her by her first name. We know that they finally received a relationship upgrade. It’s only a matter of time of course.
