Somehow, Koharu got angry at Hiyori after she tried to fish and couldn’t catch something. Also, Koi’s mother returns and a certain girl appears.
When Koharu went to Koi’s fishing shop, she became visibly upset. It becomes obvious why. Hiyori dresses weirdly holding a stripping basket to prevent the line from damage or fly away. The sunglasses make it easier to see the fish in the water during feeding.
Of course, Hiyori teaches Koharu how to cast the line While Hiyori helped her with that, Koharu couldn’t catch anything when she should. Eventually, Koharu screws up after Hiyori casts the line as she didn’t get a bite. She eventually becomes frustrated when she wants to do it herself. Eventually, the line becomes messed up and Koharu called Hiyori a stupid fishing addict.
Koharu is worried that she upset Hiyori. Obviously, Hiyori is worried that Koharu now hates fishing. After showing photos from last time, it lightened up the mood. Of course, Koi mentions that there aren’t many girls that like fishing. She also mentions that Hiyori fishes alone until Koharu came along. Koharu admits that she got upset since she was eating her time.
Of course, Koi points out that Koharu shouldn’t dress as she is as it makes her clothes smell like fish. That is until she saw some boots, she finds cute. Of course, they are expensive, but decides to take it from her allowance. Koi really knows how to make a sell.
Thankfully, Koharu made up with Hiyori as she and Hiyori cooks fried rock fish. That is when she mentions that she bought new boots as she laughs. Yep, Hiyori has some crumbs on her cheeks, which Koharu wipes it off. It’s a good thing the fight didn’t go as far and got along well again.
The next day, we find out it’s Koi’s birthday as Hiyori gives her a jar of candy as a gift. I find it funny how Koharu gives her a coupon for a burger joint. Of course, they couldn’t hang out as Koi is about to meet her mother.
Yes, it’s obvious that she gets along with her mother more. After all, Koi remembers that traumatizing time when she went with her father to a fishing trip during a thunderstorm. As expected, he didn’t remember that time.
You might be wondering why her mother decided to stay with her husband. Yes, it’s because he stuck up for her when her family wanted her to quit her job and take care the children. Obviously, she wants to do both. It’s obvious that her parents have outdated views.
I find it funny when Koi decides to become clingy to her mother, Koharu and Hiyori saw her. Koi becomes super embarrassed. At least Koi’s mother met Koharu. As expected, Koi’s father brought back some big tunas and decides to throw a birthday party for Koi. During the party, Hiyori and Koharu meets Fukumoto Ichika, who comes from a fishing family. As expected, she has a nice tan. She also has a little sister named Futaba, who is shy like Hiyori.
After the party, Koharu and Hiyori finds out firsthand that fishing for tuna is hard. Yes, they can’t even reel in Koi’s little brothers. Not to mention, they need money to pay someone to fish on a boat. So, they get part time jobs at a restaurant. The funny thing is that Koharu wants to do the serving as she wants to wear cute waitress uniform. She ends up being the cook while Hiyori does the serving.
Of course, Hiyori gets to wear the cute outfit, which causes her to become flustered. Yes, even when she serves Koi and Ichika who came by. She was even shaking the dishes of food. Thankfully it didn’t land on the floor.
When Hiyori passes out fliers, Futaba and her friend, Aiko meets Hiyori. Aika thinks Hiyori’s uniform is cute. Still, Futaba asks if Hiyori is embarrassed, not for the outfit she is wearing but her interest in fishing. This is before she ran off.
Thankfully, Hiyori helped Koharu practicing casting. Eventually, Koharu becomes excited when she improved her technique. However, what Futaba said bothers Hiyori. I guess we’ll find out the reason why Fubata asked that sooner than later.
Happy seeing the sister-wives adapting to their new families and growing closer.
Ichika and Koi’s Mom are already excellent new characters.
Koi’s growing respect for her dad is a slow progress, as it should be. He is a dummy after all.
Looking forward to learning more about Futaba’s dilemma.
It’s only a matter of time, but I do agree that Ichika and Koi’s mother is nice additions. But I guess Koi’s dad is not too bad given the circumstances. But I do wonder more about Futaba of course.
