Kukuru finally decides to take a break after dealing with her a-hole boss. It becomes obvious where she went.
It’s obvious that with Kukuru’s presentation was a huge disaster. Given her mental issues from overwork, she needs to take time off. It’s not too surprising given her lack of experience on top of her boss non-stop bullying her and piling on the work.
As expected, Kukuru’s insufferable a-hole boss is very angry when Fuuka told Kukuru is sick. He thinks she is fake sick and seems very angry. Of course, he doesn’t realize that his bad management and lack of training has led him to this situation. Maybe you shouldn’t assign her such a large project with nobody else helping her?
Either way, he seems irredeemable and Fuuka seems to start hating him now. I won’t be surprised if half of the employees who work at the aquarium hate his guts now for how unpleasant he is. To me, I feel that he should be s-canned or resign. I don’t think anything will change if he admits that he was wrong and apologize. Either way, I find it funny how she imitates Kukuru by doing air punches.
It’s obvious that Fuuka is very worried about Kukuru. She calls her several times and sent text messages. Kukuru is on another island, but she hasn’t revealed her whereabouts. That is of course Umiyan finds out that Kukuru is with his wife, Misaki. His wife is apparently an associate professor studying sea turtles. Yep, Kukuru joins her cleaning debris from the shore. After all, there are sea turtle eggs that is about to hatch.
While Kukuru is away, Fuuka finds out that the baby dolphin is still wondering around. While the children the dolphin should be put in an aquarium, Kukuru’s grandfather thinks it should find its own family.
There is some obvious foreshadowing for Kukuru in this instance. Also, the penguin too as Choko and the others will be joining Tingaria. Of course, Popo entered one of the areas and the penguins that marked its territory pecked it, thus injuring it. Fuuka felt terrible after this incident, but thankfully Takeshita treated it on time. Will it recover? We must wait and see.
After Kukuru stayed at a hotel and looked around the island, she visited the Kamehasu aquarium It reminded her of Gama Gama quite a bit, especially with the kids. They looked for the reef stonefish and rewarded for ice cream. This perplexes Kukuru, but of course the attendant that work there is says it’s best to get them in so they can love fish. Yep, she mentions that line came from a mentor of his. Yep, Kukru’s grandfather of course.
Kukuru is in her hotel room when Misaki came to pick her up. She is happy to see Kukuru visiting the aquarium. Yes, it’s because the baby turtles are about to hatch. Yes, it was a nice sight to see them come out and head to the sea. Kukuru eventually notices that Fuuka was there. I wonder how this will play in what Kukuru plans to do next. Will she quit her job to work at a different aquarium or find an alternative solution? Either way, hopefully Kukuru resolves her mental issues first before going back to work.
Kukuru finally throws in the towel with overwork and her crappy boss. Going back to her roots of what she enjoys most about sea life is bound to destress her some. Me hopes these experiences will give her a new lease of life much like those turtles at the end of the episode.
I do worry that her boss will be positively fuming after this incident and will just imagine the absolute worst. I am concerned with the way he is that Kukuru could end up all bloody and beaten (figuratively) like that poor penguin. Hopefully that doesn’t transpire but this boss has shown no mercy to her throughout this show. I just hope he gets fired for somethin’ like he taking money under the table or somethin’.
I have a feeling that Kukuru’s boss dug himself a huge hole that I don’t think anything can fix his reputation. Not to mention, the attendant boss seems to dislike his attitude. But it’s good that Kukuru took a break. After all, she can change jobs if she doesn’t like her job, but her boss will look bad in the end. But we’ll see what happens next soon enough.
Thankfully the legendary Mrs Umi-yan was there to help out Kukuru. Cool baby turtle hatching action too.
Fuuka’s hunger for Kukuru intensified.
Hope Kukuru won’t have too much trouble with our “favorite” boss.
Yes, seeing Umiyan’s wife was nice, a good pace from seeing Kukuru’s a-hole boss. Still, it’s good to see Kukuru take a breather and also for Fuuka to follow her there. Hopefully there will be a good ending from this.
