With Suzune and Rena already reaching the goal of 100,000 yells, the other two team faces tumoil. It seems that the dance team is having some issues and time is ticking.
It’s obvious the heat is on as Suzune and Rena already reached the goal. This leaves the two remaining teams. The focus is on the dance team, which consists of Hiromi, Nagisa, Ao, and Nodoka. They still haven’t decided on a unit name yet, but close to deciding on one. Yes, they did a stream to try to receive more yells to make it easier come the performance.
As expected, the dance steam hits a few snags. Apparently, Hiromi is pushing her teammates hard. She wants her members to follow the dance moves from the song they picked from a unit called Shishimai, with the song called Sparkrash.
Of course, Hiromi pushes the girls to the limits since there is a sense of urgency. Of course, everyone else on her team is struggling to keep with Hiromi, who is a perfectionist. This causes some some disagreements, especially between Nagisa and Hiromi. With three days left, they can’t really change anything. While Nodoka tries to calm down her teammates with some sweets, Sumipanda recorded their disagreements.
Its obvious things are going poorly for them that Suzune becomes worried. Rena tells her not to worry too much on her competitors and spend it on self-improvement instead. Despite this, she decides to talk things over with Hiromi while Nagisa eavesdropped and eventually apologizes. She is starting to remind me of Yu by helping her rivals. Then again, should she be doing this since this can make it harder for her and Rena to win? It’s obvious that she shouldn’t intervene, but she can’t help it.
Still, it’s interesting to learn the back story of the girls from the dance team. Ao decided to become an idol because she felt that she is only improving her time and she didn’t have fun doing it anymore. She just wanted a change of pace. Nagisa became an idol since she wants to become strong and not rely on others. As for Nodoka, her mother signed her up because she thinks her daughter will be good at it. Given her lack of ambition and only talking about food, it’s surprising that she made it.
You might be wondering, what is driving Hiromi’s persuit for perfection. It’s mostly because she faces some self-esteem issues. Since she is the only daughter and her siblings are brothers, she had to become strong to win. Of course, this attracted affection from her female classmates as they perceive her as a cool tomboy. I find it funny how she receives chocolates from her female classmates. Yes, she is a chick magnet, but she wants to change that.
Of course, after listening to their reason of becoming idols, Hiromi and Nagisa gets into disagreements. Yes, over their philosophies. Meanwhile, Suzune thinks they are getting along with each other as lunch begins. I wonder if they can resolve their differences.
When Hiromi return to the dance room, she only sees Ao and Nodoa. Hiromi blames herself for being too hard on Nagisa. Yes, they look everywhere for her. This is when Hiromi realizes that she is on the roof all this time. Nagisa practiced along and reveals she wants to win like her. Eventually Hiromi made up and admits her faults. Eventually, they decided on their group name, Splasoda, combining Nagisa’s and Hiromi’s idea for the group.
In the end, they performed on the third day. It seems that their performance was good, but they fall a little short of the goal by 200 yells. At least they are close with only a few days remaining. At least they can make up lost ground with a fan event or something. As for the musical instruments team, it seems that they spent so much time procrastinating. They didn’t even start practicing until 4 days before the deadline.
With Splasoda being the second team that will reach the goal soon, Uta wants to do their performance soon. Of course, Shiori disagrees. She feels that their performance will feel half-baked if they do it now. Yep, they are stirring up drama that Sumipanda seems to enjoy. Of course, Mako is being too carefree. This makes me wonder, what were they doing the last 12 days? Either way, they need to pull a rabbit out of the hat and have a flawless performance. Otherwise, they might find themselves eliminated from the competition.
Ao X Nodoka please. Give me Fit X Thicc after denying me SeiZu. PLEASE!
SplaSoda are great. Looking forward to more of them together or separately depending on what happens next.
Most excited to learn more about ojou-neko next time but the other two will surely be interesting too.
Also, it’s surprising how well Ao and Nodoka is getting along. Still, it should be interesting how Shiori’s team get out of the rut they are in.
