After the first day of hockey trials, Manaka wants to continue playing with her friends. Of course, Naomi is having second thoughts.
It’s obvious that Manaka wants to keep going with the ice hockey thing. Of course, we didn’t see the reaction from Riko and Naomi yet. It’s obvious that Naomi is not sure about continuing since everyone is a stranger, except for Riko. It’s obvious that she would rather use the time to draw or read manga.
Of course, Riko doesn’t want to do it alone. The next day after class, she offered to do something special for Naomi in return. This is after she showed a picture from her childhood with Riko and Naomi playing ice hockey together on her phone. We learn that she had her heart on figure skating, but she can’t do those spin jumps, so she gave up.
Obviously, Riko continues to push Naomi to continue it. After all, she doesn’t have to do those spin jumps in ice hockey. It’s obvious that Riko wants to bring back the good old days with Naomi playing ice hockey together. Of course, Riko will treat her if Naomi tagged along. As expected, she took the offer.
Meanwhile, Manaka seems focused on reading more about ice hockey. Of course, Ayaka doesn’t seems happy that her older sister is goofing off. Manaka’s friends seem suspicious about the exercises Yoko tells them to do, but Manaka thinks otherwise. I wonder how long until the girls find out about her idol sports plans.
As expected, it seems that that a recording is happening that Manaka’s and Ayaka’s family’s inn. Manaka hinted this last time. Manaka and her friends changed into their kimonos as the producer and the cameraman records them touring the inn. Yes, it’s for a variety program. Of course, the producer is recording the next day, but Manaka reveals she won’t make it.
Of course, she offers the alternative. Yes, to have the producer record their hockey class. Yes, Yoko becomes excited as she has her hair and makeup done. It’s obvious that she will use it to promote the idol ice mashup, but not make it too apparent.
The next day, Riko came to pick Naomi up. It’s obvious that she is in bed. That is until Riko mentions what she will treat her with. Yep, Riko really wants her to continue. Thankfully, Naomi didn’t renege on her promise.
As expected, when the girls arrive for their second day of hockey trials, they see Yoko with makeup, and all dressed up. This seems very suspicious, but it’s obvious that she wants to look her best on TV. Of course, Naomi wants to go home already. We do learn that Dream Monkey is an old team and Yoko used to play ice hockey. She was serious until the last moment as she asks for a significant other on TV. It’s obvious that they will cut that part out.
Of course, the producer watching the girls warm up. As expected, Yoko is being very sus as she does those exercises that an idol will do. Of course, Riko and Naomi like last time seems very suspicious as Manaka is having a lot of fun. I find it funny how the producer is standing there questioning the stretches Yoko has the girls do. Yoko is not hiding her intentions.
Besides reviewing what the girls learned last time, they also learn something new. Of course, Yoko becomes fascinated in Riko for some reason. She eventually asks Riko about her father and it’s true. Her father is apparently coaching at a college in Tokyo.
Next, Yoko has the girls focus on their speed skating. Manaka eventually notices how graceful Naomi is when it comes to skating. Not too surprising since Naomi wants to be a figure skater at one time. Riko obviously reveals this fact to Manaka and her friends.
After another day of trials, Manaka thinks about creating a team. Obviously, Mami is acting strange. When Manaka asks about making a team, Mami acts strange. That is until Mami called Manaka and tells her that she can’t join the team. This is because after the second semester, she is transferring schools. I wonder why?
Meanwhile, we see a glimpse of a long dark-haired girl. She apparently quits her hockey team. I wonder what the real reason is as she heads home. I guess she will cross paths with Manaka as some point. Will she become a part of the team? We must wait and see.
Naomi is precious, yes. Her and Riko are great together.
Coach Yoko is still best girl.
Intrigued to see what will happen with Mami along with learning more about Yu at some point.
In no doubt. I find it funny how she wants to stay home, but she will warm up to ice hockey eventually. Still, wonder what will happen with Mami.
Still, I wonder how long Yoko can keep her dream of having idol sports becoming a reality without making it too obvious.
