With Suzune failing to pass the semi-finals, it’s obvious that she lost hope. Of course, Seira starts having second thoughts if she deserved that win.
It’s very surprising that Suzune didn’t make it to the next round since she is the main character after all. Her loss was surprising since she had the singing talent. However, her disease just for that one moment took her dream away. Sure, Suzune tried to have good sportsmanship by congratulating Seira, but it’s obvious that she is still sad about her dream being over.
Of course, Suzune watches what Rena said in a video about what made her try out for Selection Project. Rena says that she would rather regret trying and failing rather regret never trying at all as experience matters more. This of course resonated with Suzune, more on that later.
That is until Seira appeared at the front of her school. It’s obvious that she rewatched that clip repeatedly. Believe it or not, some viewers speculate that Seira might drop out since she is not part of the main cast. Is this her plan? Either way, it’s interesting how all the students gathered around Seira. After all, she just won the contest. As expected, she is there to see Suzune.
As expected, Suzune spending time with Seira felt like a date. Not too surprising since they were friendly with each other before the semi-finals. Eventually, they sat as Suzune asks Seira about the finals and the Selection Project. Of course, Seira is thinking that if Suzune never fell, Suzune might have won.
When Suzune revealed this was her first audition and she had a heart condition since she was born, this is when Seira starts to doubt her win. After all, Seira failed many auditions and even passed up many. This can explain why Seira feels upset over the results since she thought Suzune had better talent than her. Seira asks if Suzune will continue singing. Sadly, Suzune is not sure if she can do it or not.
During the evening, Suzune starts changing her mind. After seeing video about Akari’s real life miracle, Suzune decides to change her mind. She eventually calls Seira about meeting up with her. Seira knew what Suzune wanted to say as she starts singing.
When Suzune started singing, Seira finally realizes, especially after Suzune said she wants to keep singing. If she gives up her dream now, she will associate that moment with bad memories. Yep, it goes back to what Rena said earlier about trying and failing instead of not trying at all. After all, Seira is indicating that she is willing to give up her position so that Suzune can have another chance at achieving her dream.
Suzune eventually meets with Seira after her announcement to resign. Sure, some of Seira’s fans were upset, but it’s not too surprising. Seira asks Suzune win the competition. She hopes that when that time comes, Seira and Suzune will be different people. This is when she will see how is better, being top idols.
With that, we see the 8 other girls, Rena, Hiromi, Nagisa, Nodoka, Ao, Uta, Shiori, and Mako arrive at the competition site. Yes, it’s basically its own school with studios, training facilities, and a swanky dorm. Either way, the finals is basically a reality show with girls doing idol activities. I wonder how they will determine the winner. By how many votes they get or judge evaluation? By elimination? We must wait and see.
Aside from that, it’s obvious that Rena seems to have some interest in Suzune on how she agreed to receive another chance from Seira. After all, Rena would be embarrassed if she lost, and someone offered a spot. Still, I wonder what kind of relationship they will develop given this. We’ll see soon enough.
Disappointed SeiZu may not come true. I REALLY hope they keep in touch because they’re so good together. Not really looking forward to Suzune X Rena.
The real game begins next episode, yet.
It’s not too surprising, but hopefully they will see each other, someday.
Still, I have a feeling that Rena will eventually defrost. All dark haired girls eventually do.
