After Hiori found out what happened to her sister, she has survivor guilt. It’s obvious how things play out from here.
To me, it’s kind of sad to see Hiori blame herself. Sure, she hid her feelings from her older sister, but she did nothing wrong. Mio, who is reluctant to tell the truth knowing full well that it will bite her in the butt. Still, I am frustrated how Hiori blames herself instead of coming into terms with her feelings and reaching her full potential. Yes, the same way Momo did. I guess this is not what Nina had in mind.
Sadly, it seems that Ruka feels powerless. Hiori keeps getting upset at her after she loses hope. Hiori ends up falling into the trap Shino and the others set up. Now, Hiori given up her fragment to them even though she didn’t mean to. She gets caught up with her survival guilt instead of confronting it that she screwed everything up. She ends up hurting Ruka even though she is right that Mio screwed everything up.
With that, is it really over for Ruka and Miyako’s plan to stop Mio and Shino and save everyone? Yes, it seems that this could be the end as Shino obviously going to betray Mio at some point. After all, she wants to rule the world by leveraging the power of the Common. Then again, I wonder if this is what Yuzu and Lime planned all along and Hiori may not be doomed yet. After all, they mentioned the answer lies in their rings. We have to wait and see in the next episode.
From bad to worse for our heroines. Poor dears. Hopefully they’ll be able to patch things up. It won’t be easy but hopefully love will prevail.
