Now that Himeno settled and made a successful design for her cushion, what’s left is the color. Of course, Naoko decides to record her progress.
I must admit that it’s nice to see Naoko’s bedroom. It’s obvious that she is an Otaku with all those action figures and Japanese swords. Not only that, she also has a PlayStation and what looks like a Nintendo Switch controller. She is apparently writing in her online journal about her recent experiences building models and of course, Himeno’s experiences of making her cushion.
As expected, Himeno is having difficulty picking the right glaze. Yep, she leaned back and forth on the stool when she accidentally fell back a bit too much. As expected, she doesn’t know which one to go with.
Obviously, Naoko has plans to help push Himeno into the right track. While Himeno revealed that she asked Touko and Mika for advice while at the restaurant with Naoko, it didn’t quite work out. Touko always talks about clay is what determines the finish and color. As for Mika, she talked gibberish about Runruu. It’s funny to see Himeno flip out not knowing what it means. Never change Mika!
Naoko decides to show her that to Himeno, but she is not in the clubroom. I must admit that it’s funny seeing Mika upset. It’s obvious that Mika thought she made Himeno upset over the Runruu stuff. Thankfully, Himeno is on the roof and Naoko took her to that place. Yep, where Himeno’s sculpture is.
Besides admiring it, it’s obvious that Himeno wants to use the same color and glaze as her mother’s creation. Sure, she is worried about imitating, but there is that saying that “good artist copy, great artists steal.” Also, Naoko encourages Himeno to go for it and not worry too much about copying. Still, it’s good that Himeno remembered what her father said about trying to make someone happy, it’s best when one is having fun themselves. Regardless, Naoko is good at leading Himeno in the right direction.
With Touko’s help, Himeno manages to do the impossible. After doing a few attempts with plates, she got down the technique. She eventually coated the cushion and fire it. As expected, it turned out as what Himeno dreamt of, even after adding the soft rope. I guess Himeno couldn’t have done it without Naoko. It’s obvious that they are meant for each other. Still, I wonder what the judges will think about her creation. We’ll find out soon enough.
Nice to see Naoko spends her free time wisely. Good girl.
Yep, it’s nice to see her play video games and of course writing on her online journal. Still, it’s good that she has interests that probably some or most anime fans have.
