Now that Koguma became friends with Reiko, it seems that Koguma wants to go on a trip. Of course, she decides to get some upgrades.
It’s obvious that Koguma’s life changed after she bought the Super Cub. She never thought that she would make friends. Now that she made a friend who owns a similar motor bike as hers, it’s obvious that she is interested on going to places with it. After all, during lunch, Reiko shares her plans she has during break.
While Koguma ate without facing Reiko, when she mentions it, it catches her attention. This is when Koguma realizes that she wants a luggage box, Reiko apparently knows where to get one. Yep, Koguma is going down a rabbit hole that people who get into PC gaming. Yes, Koguma are going to get some upgrades for her bike.
You might be wondering, why did she buy treats? She knew someone that has a luggage box. It’s from a dead bike that that someone had. Sadly, the windshield is no good, but Koguma was able to take the box off with a screwdriver. Yep, Koguma gave the owner the treats as a gift. Not only that Koguma receives a basket from a teacher after hearing about her bike too. Yep, she basically stuck gold. Sadly, I can’t say the same about the GPU market. I blame the crypto miners for jacking up the prices of Nvidia RTX 3000 series and AMD Radeon RX 6000 video cards.
That said, I must admit that it’s cute to see Koguma smile after doing all these upgrades. I like how Reiko commenting on her grinning. It’s just too cute. Still, what Reiko says about parts come and go is too true. I have been messing with vintage computers lately and finding parts to run retro PC games at their best. I can say the same about PC gaming in general. Still, this makes me wonder what other upgrades Koguma want to do next.
As expected, Koguma finally has the guts to ride her bike a bit faster. She finds out quickly that the wind is getting into her eyes and making things uncomfortable. I can see why she doesn’t ride her bike quickly. She asks Reiko about putting something on her helmet to block the wind. Reiko allows her to show her the helmet she uses. Sure, it protects her eyes, but she doesn’t like how it feels.
Of course, when Reiko tries to find a wind shield for the helmet, they are expensive. Yes, this is the reality that most people face trying to find a graphics card. Yes, they are even more expensive than the processor itself.
However, Koguma saw a man with goggles on and a mask. Yes, apparently riders use goggles as a substitute of a helmet shield. I guess this will suffice until Koguma saves enough money or get a job. At least it solves that issue. Yes, it’s just like gaming on integrated graphics or a GeForce GT 1030. Yes, it’s sucks as the graphics quality and the framerates suck, but at least you can game. Not only that, one can wait until graphic card prices go back to normal. Aside from that, at least she finally bought her wheel lock.
Given the title of the next episode, it’s obvious that Koguma will try to get a part time job. It’s obvious that she wants to earn some money to go on a trip and probably save money on more upgrades.
Every time Koguma smiles my heart melts. Bless her and this show.
Yes, her smile is so precious that one needs to protect it. After all, she is a precious cinnamon bun, I guess.
