After Hiyo transformed and saved Miyako, Ruka wonders what happened. Also, we finally learn what Hiyo transformed into and what Uta was after.
Last time, it seems that Uta is after something. However, she escaped when she became outnumbered. Yes, Hiyo heard a voice and transformed to rescue Miyako as she fell off the roof. Even after what happened, Ruka still feels conflicted on what just happened.
Momo eventually introduces herself and explained that the ring that Hiyo and Ruka has allows them to transform into Reflectors. This allows a person to turn their feelings into strength. However, only a select few can become a Reflector.
Apparently, Momo is working with the AASA, the organization that is researching these rings. Momo also explains the feelings or pieces of them are fragments. Evidently, there are someone that is targeting people her age for them. It becomes obvious who they are. Reflectors protect these and their own feelings. So, I wonder who the opposing ones are as they are after them.
Of course, Ruka still doesn’t know if she is up to the task. However, Hiyo wants to become one. This surprises Ruka as she seems very skeptical. It’s obvious that she is doing this since she is looking for her older sister. Also, she mentions the strange feeling when she first met Ruka the first time. This becomes apparent when Ruka touches her and Hiyo feels funny.
The funny thing is that Hiyo plays hooky just to meet her. Momo eventually scolds her for doing so. Still, it’s obvious that she is tracking a list of female students since someone is targeting them. She eventually asks Hiyo if she knew any. Sadly, she doesn’t. However, Hiyo revealed the name of her older sister, Mio. Somehow, Momo started acting funny since her name sounds familiar.
Meanwhile at school, Ruka runs into Miyako. However, she ignores Miyako. The funny thing is that Miyako is trying to get Ruka’s attention. Yes, she even shined her sparkly smartphone case to get her attention. Apparently, she just wanted to ask what happened after school. After all, she saw her, and another girl save her and her feelings overlapping. Of course, Hiyo mentions that she shares the same feelings as Ruka. While Ruka can’t give an answer, it’s obvious that she can detect feelings of others.
Meanwhile, we see the opposing team. Apparently, Nina is not happy that Uta screwed up her mission of taking the fragment from Miyako as she sits on the organ. Apparently, their leader isn’t happy they are disturbing Shino’s sleep. Nina eventually told what happen, but it’s obvious what she said. They are not protecting them but actuallly collecting them. I can already see this getting a bit nasty.
Eventually, Ruka eventually finds Hiyo. Apparently, Hiyo wants to take her to her house to talk about what she found out from Momo. When they got there, Hiyo reveals that her mother disappeared years ago. Also, the reason she lived in the dorm is because her older sister wants her to experience different worlds. Does this sound very suspicious? Maybe she is doing something that she doesn’t want her little sister to know about.
After mentioning the talk about Reflectors, Ruka says she can’t be like her. After all, she can’t interact with others. Of course, Hiyo decides to bring her to the roof, which is a special place. Hiyo mentions about the time where Ruka notices the girl in the courtyard from last time. Without her pointing it out, she wouldn’t be able to talk to the girl to see what is wrong. It becomes apparent that Hiyo wants to point out Ruka’s ability to read other people’s feelings. After all, it can become helpful.
As expected, Uta tries to hit on Nina, but she is not having it. I have a feeling that Uta might be enjoying the harsh words from Nina. Either way, they eventually find the thing they are looking for. After all, Miyako becomes upset at her mother when she threw away the picture frame. After all, her mother favors her son more. Still, I think she has bad parents. After all, they could have found another spot for the photo instead of throwing it away.
Either way, Miyako walks out of the home and acts upset. She releases an aura of despair as Nina and Uta detects it. Of course, Ruka and Momo gets the call as Ruka tries to wake up Hiyo. They eventually find Miyako, but Uta and Nina got to her. They are in the process of taking the fragment from Miyako.
Of course, Hiyo hears voices telling her to save Miyako’s fragment. Sure, it may look like Nina and Uta might be too strong for Hiyo to handle alone. The question is, will Ruka save Miyako or let them get away with the fragment. We’ll see next time.
Another thing pointed out by a homie, how Hiori and Ruka compliment each other with their social skills. One can sense when someone is in trouble and the other knows how to help them.
The Red Ring Gang are pretty much disaster gays and I love it! The entire church scene was glorious.
I wonder if Ruka will transform next time?
Not too surprising since Hiyori took Ruka to her home. Still, I think Ruka really needs to have more fate in herself. Still, it’s nice to see the antagonist team.
Of course, I wonder too if Ruka will transform next time too.
“Ability to read others’ feelings” is not something I’d associate with Ruka. After all, in the previous episode she thought Miyako’s “friends” were genuinely complimenting her, and this episode she didn’t realize that Miyako’s staring was an attempt to get her attention.
It’s more that Ruka is observant, even if she doesn’t always understand what she sees.
