Now that Himeno gotten used to life Tajimi and joined the club. However, she feels overwhelmed. She gets some ideas from her friends.
As Himeno finds out, pottery is more than pots and mugs. After all, Mika tells her in a flashback to make whatever she likes. From the looks of it, Mika was making a plate or clay sculpture. Still, this suggestion doesn’t really help Himeno since she is just starting out.
Aside from that, she decides to tidy up the place up. Unfortunately, she almost drops one of the cups when Mika and Touka came in. She becomes worried about the indent on the bottom of the cup after she dropped it. Thankfully, Touka points out that it’s a koudai, which is missing part of the foot on purpose. Either way, Himeno feels relieved as Touka teaches her features on different cups.
To teach Himeno the various types of cups, Mika draws a map of Japan. Then, Touka and Mika arranges the cups on the map from where they are made. Of course, they filled the map and somehow, Touka becomes impressed by Nao’s knowledge on cups. Sure, she denies it as she simply looked it up. Still, it’s impressive, nonetheless. Regardless, Himeno seems impressed as Nao draws a tanuki on the map. Yes, she has a obsession over them
After all the cup arranging, Mika offers to take them to an ice cream shop. On the way there, they saw various stuff made from ceramics. Yes, mosaic titles, which was a grade school project and the memorial tiles Nao made in kindergarten. Not only that, but they also saw a Kappa statue made from ceramic. Whoever built the shopping district really likes Kappa. Sadly, Mika fell into the pool when she checked out the statue. I guess this means no ice cream for her.
Still, it’s funny how Nao say that Himeno’s eyes look like a Tanuki. Yes, she also admits that she likes Tanuki. It’s obvious that Nao and Himeno might be another good pairing. We also learn that Mika and Touko are childhood friends. Yes, it seems that Touko has a liking for Mika as she takes her home. Yes, this is after Mika fell into the pond behind the Kappa statues. Mika becomes a bit lovey-dovey towards Touko on the train.
When Himeno arrives home, she sees her teacher. I guess her class introduction was super effective as she came to Himeno’s family’s café. She also reveals that she is the club’s advisor for the potery club. Of course, Himeno shares that she was anxious. However, she is fine now since her friends showed her various things made from ceramics. Hopefully from this, Himeno can now figure out the thing she wants to make. Still, I am curious what thing she will make first. We’ll find out soon.
The tour was fun as was Himeno looking for inspiration on what to make for the contest.
I had a feeling Naoko’s the one into Himeno when she gave Mika the subtle stare last episode. Maybe we’ll find out the truth next episode if the title’s any indication. Either that or we’ll learn about Mika and Touko’s relationship.
Yes, it’s a fun tour. Sadly, Mika couldn’t bring them to eat ice cream together. I guess she needs to be careful not to fall into that pool.
It’s not too surprising, especially since Naoko is next door and she seems disappointed that she wasn’t in the same class with Himeno. Still, it will be interesting to learn more about Touko’s and Mika’s relationship.
