After Teio saw how fast McQueen ran during practice, she realizes that she can never run the same again. Of course, is she making the right decision by retiring?
It’s obvious that Teio losing another goal was too much. After the third time, this was simply too much for her to handle. Not to mention, the doctor gave a poor outlook on her recovery. Of course, this doesn’t mean that Teio won’t recover, but it will obviously be a difficult road ahead.
After she takes down the only goal she has left, she prepared a resignation letter from the team. It’s obvious that she has completely given up hope. This is bittersweet since it didn’t have to be this way. She could keep trying just like Haru Urara, who loses every race but haven’t given up yet. Even Twin Turbo, who struggled in the past has finally won the first time. As expected, she has her eyes on Teio.
Meanwhile, Satono Diamond watches Kitasan Black make a good luck charm for Teio. It’s obvious that she doesn’t believe the rumors of Teio giving up. Sadly, those rumors become true when she hands in her resignation letter. Even the idea Special came up with the carrots doesn’t work. Teio also talked with Rudolf. It’s obvious that she disappointed her for breaking the promise with her intentions of giving up racing. Of course, Hana overhears it and calls Trainer to talk to him about it.
I must admit that Teio giving up everything and just having fun is basically her bottom point. She decides to give up everything to indulge on everything that makes her happy. That means sugary drinks, playing crane games, buying a new outfit, riding on those rides you find in the mall, singing karaoke, going into a photobooth, among other things. Sadly, she comes to the realization that she still has time left over after doing all those things.
What really tugs the heart strings is Kitasan Black. When she presented the charm and wants Teio to run again, she breaks down and said that she can’t accept it. She also gives the advice not to follow her and there are other horse girls to look up to. I mean, this really breaks my heart.
The funny thing is that Teio finds a challenge letter from Twin Turbo. When she runs into her, it’s obvious that she wants to challenge her to a race. Of course, Teio said that she given up on racing. It’s obvious how Twin Turbo reacted as she can’t accept that Teio given up racing. Even Teio’s friends can’t accept this fact. Of course, it seems that Special is the most upset. Where is Suzuka when she needs her?
Either way, Team Spica throws a special farewell concert for Teio as she fully recovers. Still, it’s obvious what they are doing. Everyone is in on it trying to convince Teio not to give up. Even Team Canopus hijacked the event to show Twin Turbo trying her hardest to win first place and eventually does so, but barely. Sure, she lacks stamina, but at least she gives it her best. Not only that, but McQueen also mentions that miracles can happen when people wish and strive for them.
Yes, Teio is giving up too early. Maybe she can prove the doctor wrong and defy all odds. After all, her friends and fans are behind her. After all, if Haru Urara can win in the mobile game and Suzuka making a comeback after a near-death injury, Teio can do it too.
