A new year begins, but it seems that Shimamura is kind of neglecting Adachi. Of course, Tarumi tries to make a move on Shimamura.
As expected, a new year has finally come. Adachi is hoping that she is in the same class with Shimamura again. It seems that the stars have aligned. They are in the same class again. Of course, Shimamura’s hair turned back to her natural color as she decided not to dye it again. Is this an indication of something? After all, Akira and Taeko are still together, but in a different class. However, Shimamura doesn’t hang out with them anymore because of this reason.
As expected, Shimamura finally asks about Adachi’s first name, which is Sakura by the way. She also addresses Adachi by her first name, Sakura. This is kind of interesting since this is the first time Shimamura ever addressed Adachi by her first name. Obviously, she is blushing hard.
Apparently, it seems that Adachi started becoming frustrated that Shimamura is not paying too much attention to her. It seems that Shimamura’s focus is taken away by three girls that came up to her. Shimamura decided to make them her new “artificial” friends instead of being with Adachi. I guess its peer pressure to not to interact with loners. This causes Adachi to become upset and run away.
After two weeks, she became absent and back in Shimamura’s mind, she starts to worry a little. She admits that she doesn’t hold onto relationships, except the ones that are very close. Is this the fate with Shimamura’s bonds with Adchi? Shimamura thought about checking the 2nd floor of the gym, but of course, she is afraid of getting into trouble if she goes up there. Yes, it’s the social pressures of not rocking the boat too much and becoming a delinquent.
With that, I have a feeling that Shimamura is a bit oblivious as she doesn’t realize Adachi’s feelings until it’s too late. She willingly accepts hanging out with Tarumi, whom of course has feelings for Shimamura. After meeting her, Tarumi without hesitation holds Shimamura’s hands, buying something to commemorate their “friendship”, and eating at a restaurant. She also wants to become her “friend,” which looks like a confession. While Tarumi is a bit more outgoing compared to Adachi, Shimamura can’t help but become reminded of the latter.
Of course, this is when Yashiro shows up. This is when Shimamura asks Yashiro who is she. She answers Shimamura is Shimamura. This makes you wonder, is Shimamura trying to pretend to become someone she isn’t? Either way, she picks her up and hold her in the air.
Eventually, one day, while Shimamura hangs out and hanging out with her artificial friends, Adachi called out Shimamura’s name. It took her a while since Adachi is really shy. Maybe their relationship isn’t over yet, but it’s heading to rough waters. After all, Adachi bumps into Tarumi, her rival of course in the episode preview. Still, I have a feeling that this is Yashiro’s powers at work.
Aside from that, there is of course the moments with Akira and Taeko. As expected, we finally hear their first names from Akira’s mother. Apparently, Taeko came over to Akira’s house to sleep over at their inn. Of course, Akira is wearing her uniform since she is working at her family inn. Also, there is some nice moments in the bath. The surprising thing is that Taeko finally allows Akira to touch one of her breasts and of course she does what Roko does with Nina. Most importantly, Taeko kisses Akira’s forehead. At least on the other side, Akira and Taeko pairing remains strong.
