After Adachi finally receives that head pat from Shimamura after singing karaoke with her and her friends. Now she wants to be someone special to her. It’s obvious what this means as Adachi fantasies going on a date with her on Christmas.
Last time, Adachi is finally starting to accept that she has a huge crush on Shimamura. We know where this is going. Yes, Adachi while taking a bath imagine on going on a date with Shimamura until Yashiro interrupts it. Still, she wonders if it’s normal to walk around town on Christmas with Shimamura. To me, it’s normal since after all, they are a couple now, right?
With that, Adachi wonders when Shimamura asks her to do something, she wonders if she ends up complying. The funny thing is that Adachi imagines being asked to do something intimate with Shimamura. Yes, she ends up staring at her several times and Shimamura wonders what is up with her. Shimamura eventually notices when she asks Adachi what she is asking about. It seems that she can’t spit it out.
It’s obvious that she wants to go on a date with Shimamura on Christmas, but she couldn’t say it. Instead, she insists of studying. Of course, Shimamura insists of studying with Akari and Taeko, but Adachi wants to do it alone. They eventually settled on studying at Shimamura’s house. It’s obvious that Adachi doesn’t want to study in her room with Shimamura because obviously, she kept that can. Adachi thinks it will be embarrassing if Shimamura sees it.
At Shimamura’s house, Shimamura decides to take a break after she takes a nap while the room heats up. Adachi asks about Shimamura’s childhood. Of course, Adachi wants to see Shimamura with her natural hair color and short length. Shimamura asks Adachi the same thing after mentioning the picture of her holding a preschool teacher’s hand.
Obviously, Adachi says something that suggests that she is asking her out as she blushes. Not only that, Adachi thought about kissing Shimamura on the lips while she is sleeping. Thankfully, she held herself back. After all, it become very embarrassing if she notices. Then again, would she mind?
On the next day, after class, Shimamura puts her head on Adachi’s head. Yep, Shimamura during class wondered why Adachi is acting strangely. It’s as if she is holding something back. Eventually, she brought her on the school’s roof to ask about something. Yep, the cat is out of the bag as Shimamura notices that Adachi is staring at her.
Thankfully, Adachi gains the courage to tell her. She wants to do something in 10 days, but she couldn’t say it. This reminds Shimamura of her childhood friend that hides something from her. You wonder, is Adachi that way? To me, I think Adachi is just shy or afraid what will happen next.
The next morning, Shimamura eats her breakfast slowly. Of course, Adachi is waiting for her. This is when Adachi eventually tells her what she wants to do in 10 days. Yep, it’s a Christmas date. While she has a hard time spitting her intentions out, this is when Shimamura is wondering if Adachi is asking her out. Yes, she even wondered why she is being asked out. Then again, Adachi doesn’t have friends, so she takes it as she wants to simply hang out with her.
Yes, Shimamura eventually accepts her request. Still, I think it’s a date, which Adachi wants. This makes me curious how this will turn out in the next episode. We’ll find out soon. Either way, Adachi seems very happy, and then walks out of the room needing to go to school. I guess she is either embarrassed or happy.
Also, yes, Akira really draw a picture of Yashiro holding croquettes. Also, Taeko kissed her forehead and of course, her mother catches them on the act wondering if they are close. Yep, I think they are more than just best friends now.
Good on Adachi getting the courage to ask Shimamura. I know how hard it can be. Boy do I know. Shimamura still overthinks things but we kinda get why she’s hesitant to open herself up to someone yet wanting to deep down.

Yes, it’s nice that Adachi is now becoming a bit more assertive in asking her on the date. It took a while, but I wonder how the actual date will turn out in the end pretty soon.
