Last time, Hina had a hard time catching a whiting. Thankfully, she does some research to figure out what she is doing wrong. Either way, it’s obvious that Hina is eager to try again.
From the looks of it, Hina was using the wrong technique since she is not using live bait. From that, she finally shares what techniques to use from a video on the internet. Still, I find it funny how Yuki mentions that the bait package tells how to exactly to use it.
With that, Hina is having a little better luck at getting a catch. While no fish wouldn’t hook after several attempts, apparently her bait was too long. After all, the whiting fish is not as big at this time compared to the ones caught in the video. Natsumi gives her this hint after Hina tried so many times. After Hina shorten the bait, she managed to catch one. Either way, it’s nice to see Hina become so happy after she catches one.
In the second half, Hina goes into the club room to open all the windows after it’s steaming hot. After opening them, she seems exhausted. Natsumi gets some tea, but they are almost out. This is when Makoto is there cooling the room down.
After making all the tea, Makoto becomes excited over seeing the keychain flatfish plushies. Believe it or not, Natsumi went over to Hina’s house to make them together. Yep, Natsumi is finally returning the favor.
Either way, Hina bought all the art and craft supplies and Makoto, Natsumi and Hina made various pushes of fish and an octopus. Of course, Yuki decides to watch them instead of participating.
Still, it becomes obvious why Hina didn’t join the handicrafts club. It consists of guys wanting to sew and make cute animals plushies. I kind of expected that this would happen. With that, I guess Natsumi didn’t need to bribe Hina to make her stay in the club after all.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Houkago Teibou Nisshi is an enjoyable slice of life comedy. I must admit that the characters are enjoyable in their own way. Also, it’s nice how the girls show various techniques and equipment to catch different kinds of fish.
While there are various antics between Natsumi and Hina and of course Yuki, the show is educational in a sense of showing the various aspects of fishing, and of course not to treat wildlife poorly by leaving your fishing lines and hooks.
Still, I think the Natsumi and Hina pairing is good. After all, they are meant for each other. It’s evident with some of the scenes of Natsumi tormenting Hina and of course, visiting each other houses. Overall, this is a solid schoolgirl slice of life show that most fans of this genre will enjoy.
Twas a fun and chill show. The senpai were delightful along with Miss Sayaka and NatsuHina had plenty of cute moments.
At least we got a small slice of Heaven near the end of the show.
Definitely, and it’s going to be missed. I enjoy the moments with Hina and Natsumi, they are the best moments. But at least there is a nice beach scene to end the series off.
