Now that four groups perform their own orchestras to protect the city from magical monsters, Tiara finally makes it back. Will their efforts be enough to protect the city?
As expected, the festival is now on in Mamuceaster. The four groups now have a critical mission to perform songs. With that, they did just that while Chloe fought on the front lines. It seems that Eliza is willing to provide cover if everything fails, but it’s obvious that Chloe is not confident that Eliza can pull it off. More on that later.
While each idol unit performed one after another, they managed to muster around 135% mana. However, it’s far short to the 150% goal needed to activate the Prism Wall. Thankfully, Tiara and her friends made it to Mamuceaster on time and performed their song. From their performance, the city became able to activate the Prism Wall to ward off all the monsters. Either way, the other groups are happy to see Tiara and her friends again. By the way, the chest that Anna gave her contains Eliza’s outfit she used when she was part of Ray.
With that, it’s nice to see Tiara make up with Yue at the end. It’s obvious that she finally recognizes Tiara’s efforts and decides to make up. After they apologize to each other, she notices that Tiara’s hair accessory is glowing. Tiara touches it and her mind went into another world. Yes, this is where the memories of herself, her mother, and her older sister, Eliza resides. Eventually, Eliza comes to reveal that the hair accessory Tiara wore is the Filiaregis’ Diadem. Its records memories and provides the user mana.
Tiara finds out the last piece of the puzzle that her older sister hides from her. Apparently, Eliza’s overuse of advanced magic and the Aria during a battle caused damage to her voice. Eventually, she used the magic to heal Tiara’s illness. By doing so, she almost lost her ability to use the voice. It’s kind of saddening that Tiara finds out and wants her older sister to stop using her voice. Either way, this is the main reason why Ray eventually disbanded. From this, Eliza can only communicate using a special device.
Tiara after finding out the truth becomes sadden by what happened to Eliza. This can explain everything behind her plan to bring Tiara home. She is afraid that the same thing might happen to her if Tiara went down the same path.
While Eliza wants to bring Tiara home, she refuses. Her goal is now different. She wants to find a way to bring back her older sister’s voice, but in a different way. After all, she not only has her friends, but the other units as well. Either way, it seems that Tiara and her friends are now reinstated and ranked up. After all, they just saved the city from a bunch of monsters. Still, I am curious if Tiara can achieve that goal. We’ll have to find out, maybe once the gacha game comes out.
Final Thoughts
While the concept of mixing magic and idols was interesting, this feels like your typical idol anime. Sure, the different units, except for supernova initially are friendly as they all share a common goal, it does feel like an idol anime with the focus on friendship and teamwork. Sure, Tiara’s group face a lot of obstacles and even expulsion, but they continue despite this.
I must admit that the setting and world building was interesting. Sure, I didn’t like how the school treats Tiara and her friends, but it’s understandable. Overall, while the show is not too groundbreaking, the show was enjoyable with some nice yuri pairings, especially with Tiara and Rosetta and Emilia and Garnet. If you enjoy idol genre anime, you will probably enjoy this show.
Pretty good show with some cool magic, moe laughs and very nice performances/Orchestras.
Several excellent couples. Pity Tia and Rose didn’t get a big sendoff but what we got from them was excellent regardless.
The twists near the end were interesting. hopefully we get to see LiGHTs’ adventures continue in animated form someday.
I agree, the slice of life moments are good along with the performances. Still, the way Tiara’s older sister tried to het her expelled so she will go home was fishy. Still, the pairings are good.
At least there is the mobile game, but I doubt it will get released outside Japan.
