Iroha with Momoko, Rena and Yachiyo rescues Kaede from the Rumor of the Friendship Breaking Staircase. While Iroha finds some clues about the roommates that stayed with Ui, she is still far away from finding her. Mitama finds someone that can help her.
Iroha is with Momoko, Rena, Kaede and Mitama. They finally talked about the people returning from the rumor after their disappearence. Still, I have to admit that it’s cute seeing Kaede feed Rena some sweets when she is about to get a bit harsh. Also, I wonder why Mitama is putting ketchup on her cake. That is disgusting.
Either way, Iroha is unsure that if there are some connections to the rumors and Ui’s disappearance. With that, Mitama hands Iroha a flyer for a Chinese restaurant, in Kamihama. Yes, it’s the infamous Ban Ban Zai restaurant that Yui Tsuruno’s family owns. This is quite fitting since today is Lunar/Chinese New Year.
Yes, the energetic and self-proclaimed magical girl named Yui Tsuruno runs the restaurant. She serves Iroha free food since she is a magical girl. The funny thing is that Iroha rates the food 50/100. Since other people rate the food like Iroha does, this disappoints Tsuruno. With that in mind, besides the restaurant part and Iroha not mentioning Nemu’s name, this episode is so far following closely to the original story. But yes, Iroha and Tsuruno is adorable in this scene.
Tsuruno eventually calls someone that can help out with the rumors. Guess who? Yes, it’s Nanami Yachiyo, which Iroha already met. At last, the TrySail trio is now complete. This time, she is willing to help Iroha find the Séance Shrine as long she gets stronger. There is a rumor there that involves writing the name on an Ema. Afterwards, the person who wrote the name can meet the person they desire the most. There is a possibility of the person becoming so happy that they will never return home.
To get to the shrine, Yachiyo and Iroha had to fill out a stamp card that looks like a map. They went to various places with Tsuruno tagging along. Eventually, they filled the whole card. It’s funny how the anime didn’t forget about the 10 times points promotion at a grocery store that Yachiyo shops at. Too bad a witch called Candy that looks very familiar to the stuffed animal rabbit that Iroha has. Iroha had a hard time landing a hit. Thankfully, Tsuruno finished it off.
Sadly, the limited time sale ended while they fought the witch. Of course, Yachiyo shows a lot of disappointment from this. Still, it’s interesting that Iroha’s soul gem is starting to become cloudy. Interestingly, unlike the game, Yachiyo didn’t notice this yet so she can ask Iroha to cleanse her soul gem. Either way, this corruption will become important in the next episode, especially with a potential conflict with Mami.
With that, they head to the shrine and jumped the wall. Yachiyo and Iroha writes the name of the person they want to meet the most on an Ema. After a while, the shrine around them started to change. While the Rumor of The Séance Plaque tries to take Tsuruno away, she starts to fight them.
Meanwhile, in front of Yachiyo’s and Iroha are the people they want to meet the most. Yachiyo wants to meet Azusa Mifuyu while Iroha sees her little sister, Ui. Are they the real person or simply a mirage? We have to wait and see next time.
Tsuruno is a fun addition to the ever growing cast.
