Last time, Sheffield and Edinburg stole the cube from the Sakura Empire along with Akashi tagging along. They hid on a deserted island. Can they make it out without being detected?
It’s obvious that Sakura Empire is not going to let the maids off the hook. Sheffield and Edinburg are trapped on an island staying in an abandoned building. Sakura Empire’s planes are scouting to find their location. Akashi appeared to examine the cube, but it seems that she has no idea what it does. It’s not too surprising since she only witnessed Akagi using it. Still, it’s funny how they are eating cake while
While Sakura Empire wait as Ironblood does their work, we finally see Atago. She is awfully intimate towards Takao. After Ayanami see what they are doing, she think’s its best not to get too close to her. Of course, she couldn’t resist it. After all she eventually asks her if she has hesitations to fight. Sure, Ayanami admits that she loves everyone in the Sakura Empire, but she also realizes it’s the same on the other side. Eventually, Atago hugs her.
It’s not too surprising to see Ayanami feel the same way as she wants to become friends with Laffey and Javelin. Of course, they desire the same, which is why they don’t want to fight her. This kind of hits home with the conversation between Belfast and Enterprise. Despite not being different from humans, they are still alive and have hearts. Sure, Enterprise still thinks differently, but ship girls are all the same.
Eventually, the Azur Lane launch their random assault on the Sakura Empire. As Sheffield, Edinburg and Akashi make their escape, Belfast, Cleveland and make their moves. Sure, they encounter Takao and Atago, but they eventually split up. Belfast eventually reunites with a battered Sheffield and Edinburg and protects them from Prinz Eugen, Z23 and others. Of course, Zuikaku tries to find Enterprise to avenge Shoukaku’s near death situation. She becomes disappointed really quickly. It’s just Hornet. Now, Crimson Axis’s plans are messed up now and they decide to retreat instead of getting beaten to the pulp.
Meanwhile, while Ayanami tries to fight Laffey and Javelin, it appears that they don’t want to fight. This annoys her. This is not surprising given her desire to become friends with her. Javelin finally realizes and wants to do the same too. Given this, I wonder what will happen next. We’ll see next time.
