Now that Mile, Reina, Marvis, and Pauline formed the Crimson Vow. With that, how will they will earn money to get a better place as their base?
At last, the Crimson Vow have finally graduated. They decided to set up base at an inn. I find it funny how the innkeeper became offended after hearing them say the place they are staying is a cheap inn.
Since they don’t have money, they worked in the café. As expected, Mile, Pauline, and Reina wore cute maid outfits. I find it funny how Mile did the moe moe kyun thing.
Of course, her friends have no idea what it means. Still, it’s pretty cute, although it doesn’t surpass the one that Aoba did from New Game. Either way, it’s not a bad deal considering that Crimson Vow is raising stars given their hunting skills.
With the part-time job out of the way, the girls take on some quests. They don’t take some easy ones, but the ones that make a profit. They eventually took the rock lizard one. Despite having some difficulties, it’s quite amazing how they managed to pull through. It only takes them burning the lizard to a crisp and freezing it. Apparently, Mile’s knowledge of these weaknesses is thanks to her watching a lot of kaijyu movies in her past life. This came in handy when they face off a rock golem later in the episode.
When it comes to exchanging the pelts, the merchant would dock the reward because it wasn’t perfect. The funny thing is that the quest said nothing about this. Pauline steps in and shows him not to mess with them. After all, he not only lost the rewards, but his reputation took a big hit for being a grifter. Either way, at least they still got the reward from someone else. Still, it shows not to mess with Pauline or you will see her sadistic side.
Either way, it appears that Reina wants to level up her party more. She decides to agree to take the quest to protect merchants. She knows that this will be dangerous, but the payoff outweighs the ricks. However, there may be a reason why she goes for it. After all, in a flashback, she witnessed bandits killing merchants including her father. She doesn’t want the same to happen again.
Sure, the girls got dirty from the mud, but at least Mile brought her old spare clothing. Of course, Pauline’s outfit did not fit, thus causing some obvious reaction. Eventually Mile detected some bandits by using her powers. While they took care the bandits easily, the mage summons a magical golem.
Of course, Mile goes into fan girl mode and the golem’s arm almost knocked her out. This triggers Reina and she unleashed her hellfire on it. Sadly, it wasn’t very effective, until Mile gained consciousness and used her Ultimate Freeze ability. It was enough for Marvis to finish it off.
While the bandits fled, Reina wanted to kill the bandit leader, but her friends intervene. It’s understandable why Reina wanted to take it on him. Still, I wonder about her past, especially since she admits that she killed another human. I guess we’ll find out next time.
Bless Pauline.
Mile going otaku over stuff is wonderful.
There was bound to be drama at some point. Interested in seeing how Reina’s “I killed someone before” dilemma will be handled.
Agreed. Pauline is precious. But yes, I am curious about Reina’s backstory next time.
