From last time, Tsubasa’s team lost against the Seijo High School girls’ baseball team. Now, Tomoe seems upset the team lost their game.
It’s obvious that the team became upset over their loss last time. However, Tomoe feels down for some reason. She feels that she is not good enough and that Tsubasa is holding her back. It becomes obvious when Tomoe tells her about wanting to practice between exams. She says that she shouldn’t rush it and each person get better at their own pace. It’s not surprising to see this response given her carefree and energetic personality. Of course, this answer will not satisfy Tomoe.
In secret, Tomoe ends up practicing alone at a temple. This is when she meets the captain of Seijo High School’s girl’s baseball captain, Jinguji. She happens to practice at the temple often. Tomoe asks her to coach her. This is when we learn that Jinguji’s team almost on the blink of disbanding because of a coach getting into a scandal.
It seems that Yoshimi and Aoi catches Tomoe on the act of practicing with Jinguji in private. When Tsubasa confronts her, it doesn’t go so well. She becomes upset at Tomoe for practicing without telling her when she told her not to. Let’s say things didn’t go so well after that with Tomoe ending her friendship with Tsubasa. Obviously, Tomoe didn’t want to be babied by Tsubasa. From this, she felt that her friendship that is holding her back.
It’s understandable that Jinguji feels that best friends isn’t good in sports as one might become too soft with each other. Best friends don’t want to hurt each other feelings even if one needs to improve their skills. It’s obvious that this upsets Tsubasa since she has been friends with Tomoe since her childhood friend. Still, it’s understandable why Tomoe feels that her friendship with Tsubasa changed, especially when she became interested in baseball. She is now diving into Tsubasa’s interests.
Still, I feel that Tsubasa doesn’t have to break up with Tomoe or stop being best friends for her. She can simply have someone else to be the coach. After all, she is not the only one that is good at baseball. After all, there is Ryou after all.
In the end, I can understand why Tsubasa won’t like this decision after telling how she feels as she cries. After all, I feel that this moment make it feel that they are more than just friends. While they hugged, I guess others wanted to see them kiss while they make up. Even so, at least it’s better than nothing now that the Tsubasa and Tomoe pairing is stronger than ever.
Tsubasa and Tomoe are destined to wed. Nuff said.
Well definitely. Kind of wished they kissed, but at least it’s something. It’s not too surprising since they are childhood friends after all.
