With the beach performance finally coming up soon, how will the girls fare?
While relaxing in the ocean, Uki notices that Kohane is trying to dive at a diving spot. Uki stops her before she hurts herself. It appears that Kohane want to do it to try to get over her fear for heights. They tried to do stunts in the ocean, but it didn’t quite work out. Hizume eventually suggests a shoulder straddle, which the top person rides on the shoulders of the spotter. In other words, Uki will put her head again between Kohane’s legs to support her. While their first attempt failed, they eventually managed to do it from the double base thigh stand. They successfully done it without issues in the actual performance.
After the girls worked part-time at a maid café, the girls finally earned enough money to buy a uniform. While the girls decide on their design, the Nekoya twins, Suzuko and Tamako, who are Kana’s and Hizume’s former teammates came in. It seems that they want to know how Kana and Hizume is doing. Either way, they are planning to be at the tournament. After they left, the girls finally decide the colors and design for their cheerleading uniform.
At last, it’s nice to see the girls have fun at the beach after running. It’s not surprising to see Kohane trying to dive at the lowest spot. She really wants to try to get over her fear of heights. Ut’s understandable why Kohane worries Uki. Even trying to do height-based stunts in the ocean, Kohane still manages to hurt herself.
I guess trying to resolve Kohane’s fear for heights through cheer seems more viable. Hence, this is where the shoulder straddle comes in. I find it funny how Uki starts blushing when Hizume mentions that the standing person will put her legs between the head of the watcher. Given that Uki possibly have a crush on Kohane, she blushes.
At first, Kohane is shaking and didn’t keep her head up. Eventually, Kohane gains the trust of her teammates. With Uki supporting her, Kohane was able to do it without falling, even during the actual performance. Kohane seems so happy by how the performance turned out that she decided to take a dive. As expected, it didn’t go so well.
I find it funny how Kohane and her friends managed to make it through the part-time job despite her clumsiness. It’s nice to see Hizume petting Kana’s head to praise her. It seems that she is still blushing red when Hizume pats her on the head. Either way, the girls now have enough money to obtain an actual uniform. Sadly, neither Kohane, Hizume nor Kotetsu can come up with a good custom design. I have to admit that the sketches they came up were terrible. Still, it’s funny how Kana had a hard time containing her excitement to buy a cheerleading uniform while handling money.
When they got to the store, the girls try out various designs. As expected, Kohane seems to tease Kotetsu’s choice of a uniform since it can stretch. Given how conscious Kotetsu is with her weight, she couldn’t take it anymore and stretches Kohane’s cheeks. Yes, it’s not a good idea for Kohane to go there. At least Kana gained the courage to ask her crush what she thinks about her uniform choice.
As expected, those Nekoya twins finally appear as seen in this episode’s preview. Apparently, Suzuko and Tamako are twins, which doesn’t come at a surprise. They have similar hair styles and wear the same clothing, besides the color. It’s funny how they live up to their family name, Nekoya with their cat-shaped smiles. Apparently, they are on the same cheerleading squad as Hizume and Kana when they left. As you would expect, their squad kind of went downhill with the lack of Hizume especially.
I find it funny how they know about Kana’s crush on Hizume. When Kana becomes annoyed when Suzuko asks if love changed Hizume, Tamako mentions that Kana is still has yuri tendencies. I find it funny that she actually used the word yuri to describe Kana’s lesbian tendencies. Of course, Hizume has no idea what yuri means in that context since she thinks it means an actual lily.
Either way, it seems that Suzuko and Tamako looks forward to their team being happy that Hizume is doing okay. With the girls finally deciding on their cheerleading uniforms, I wonder how it will turn out. Either way, I can’t wait to see their performance at the tournament next time.
As I said in Kyuuketsuki 11 all the Girls Club shows that aired in 2018 deserve second seasons. Anima Yell! is no different.
So many fun moments as usual like the human vaulting box, more Uki and Ushiku being blessed and the Nekoya Twins’ remark about Ushiku’s feelings for Arima along with Arima’s reaction. Such a wonderful show.
Agreed, but hopefully we see something in the future.
Still, Tamako really knows that Kana is a lebian and Arima has no clue about Yuri.
