Now that Kohane formed an association and found a place to practice, it’s time to put their first cheer to the test.
Now that the Cheer Association has a club room, Kohane decides to bring a lot of stuff from home. Kotetsu saw that Kohane is struggling and decides to help her. The captain from the basketball team asks for a favor to Kohane to cheer for them during a match. Hizume eventually accepts the request.
Kohane followed Kotetsu. After seeing her reaction, Kohane believes that Kotetsu is interested in cheer, but can’t bring herself to do it. The girls eventually find out the source of the music playing downstairs. It was Kotetsu practicing. Kotetsu turns down the invite since she doesn’t have the confidence to do cheer. However, she changes her mind after watching Kohane and her friends cheer during the match, allowing the school’s team to win the basketball match. With that, Kotetsu decides to join the Cheer Association.
At last, Kohane’s Cheer Association is finally doing their first cheer. I find it funny how Kohane decided to bring a lot of stuff from home to make herself at home in the clubroom. There is one good thing to come out of this. Kotetsu appears interested in cheer, but can’t bring herself to do it. I find it funny how Kohane can read her mind just by looking at her reaction.
With that, we finally find out the source of the haunted music room. It’s just Kotetsu practicing piano playing a very familiar classical song. Yes, she has a musical background, which is kind of interesting. However, she doesn’t have much confidence in performing music in front of the crowd.
Kotetsu’s shyness kind of reminds me of Kagimura Hazuki from Märchen Mädchen since she spends most of her time reading books, until she met a certain girl. Believe it or not, Kusunoki Tomori voices those characters including Kohiruimaki Karen/LLENN from Sword Art Online Alternative. Either way you look at it, it will be somewhat hard to convince her to join unless Kohane and her friends can put on an impressive performance.
As expected, buying cheerleading outfits is out of the realm of possibility since they have no budget and they are expensive. While Uki and Kohane doesn’t have sewing experience, they manage to make cute cheerleading uniforms.
While Kohane’s, Uki’s and Hizume’s introduction feels awkward, it’s nice how Kohane idea of getting others from her school to cheer for their basketball team got them a win in the end. Not only that, Kotetsu realizes that cheer isn’t something one does alone, but together. With that, she made up her mind to join the Cheer Association.
With Kotetsu finally joining, it makes me wonder how she will overcome her confidence problems. I think she will pull through somehow. With that, this leave the pink-haired girl who peeked into the Cheer Association room from last time. If only they can recruit her, Kohane will be able to upgrade the Cheer Association into a full-fledged club.
