After Touko showed her special side to Yuu and Yuu gave her campaign speech, Touko won the election. However, Yuu still doesn’t quite understand the feelings that Touko is trying to convey to her.
It’s obvious now that Touko has feelings for Yuu. It shows when Touko walked close to Yuu in the hallway. Of course, Yuu feels that having Touko walk so close to her is awkward since she isn’t actually dating. It becomes more evident when Yuu stayed after everyone left for the day. Touko really wanted to kiss Yuu since she I kind.
If you recall in the second episode, Yuu said that she doesn’t mind Touko loving her. While she points this fact out before Touko kissed her, it’s obvious that Touko can’t hold back anymore. Touko reminds her of what Yuu said before and eventually, Yuu allows her to kiss. Without knowing, someone else apparently saw them kissing. More on that later.
Besides the kissing scene, it’s interesting why Touko really wants to bring back the tradition where the Student Council does theater. Maki, who is spend most of his time on the sidelines don’t want to take part in it, but not totally opposed to it.
However, Yuu is adamantly opposed to it because of stage flight. Sure, she managed to pull through with that campaign speech, but acting is a whole different ballpark. Still, I wonder why Touko is hung-ho in wanting to do a stage play when Yuu knows how shy Touko actually is. There is probably a motive behind it.
However, I have some speculation why Touko wants to do it. She admits that she wants to do the leading role. Perhaps she wants to do some kind of love story that involves Yuu. I won’t be surprised given where things are heading.
On the other hand, Yuu finds out that Maki saw her and Touko kissing. He eventually asks Yuu about it, not before hinting it in front of Sayaka. It’s obvious that Sayaka is not happy about it either for obvious reasons. She most likely has romantic feelings for Touko as well. However, she is in denial since she believes that Touko will snap out of it eventually. Believe me, she won’t.
Maki eventually confronts Yuu and asks about the kissing. Obviously, Yuu fears that if it leaks out, it won’t end well. Thankfully, he won’t, but he mentions that he is not totally against the stage play. While he is the only son in his family with two older sisters, he apparently watches shoujo romance movies. Obviously, shoujogenre seems to be a bit too idealistic rather than realistic when it comes to romance.
However, he doesn’t want one of those self-insert romance stories, but rather one that is unfolding in front of his eyes. This is probably why he seems fascinated when he saw Yuu and Touko kiss, not just because it’s two girls who like each other kissing.
Either way, he promises that he won’t tell anyone. While Yuu denies that she is dating Touko, she can’t hide the fact that she likes her. After all, Maki knows that Yuu actually likes Touko since she finds her special. Of course, this makes Yuu more confused than before. It’s only a matter of time until Yuu comes into terms with her feelings and admit that she likes Touko.
Another fantastic kiss scene!
Maki-kun is seen as the #SpiritAnimal of shoujo romance fans and I agree with all but his stance on personal romance. I want both myself.
Sayaka continues being a poor cursed soul. I look forward to learning more about her though.
Oh and Yuu’s slowly discovering the truth inside. Noice.
I guess he wouldn’t approve all those romantic harem comedies for obvious reasons.
But when that day comes that Touko still chasing after Yuu and Yuu decides to advance her relationship, leaving Sayaka in a tough position. It will come someday. After all, You will eventually find out the meaning behind what Touko is trying to do.
