Now that Kohane finally got three members with Uki now on board, it’s time to form the Cheer Club. First, Kohane needs to pass the proficiency exams.
Now that Uki decides to join, Kohane is super excited about starting cheerleading activities. However, Kohane has to pass the exam, especially if she wants an advisor. However, Kohane had trouble studying until Hizume mentions the need for an advisor. With Kohane focusing on her studies, this starts to worry Hizume. She believes that Kohane will focus less on cheerleading and more on studying and fears becoming lonely again. Thankfully, Uki sees Kohane going back to her old ways with relief. However, as a result of this, Kohane ends up failing the exams, thus having to take supplementary ones.
Once Kohane came back, Hizume and Uki started practice. However, they don’t have a place reserved for practice. Inukai helps Kohane out by filling out an association form and finding a suitable place for them to practice. Eventually, Uki freaks out when she saw someone peeking in the window. Eventually, Kotetsu and her friend, Kon decides to visit the Cheer Association for some love advice. While Kon ultimately turns down their invitation to join, Kotetsu is considering joining.
Given Kohane’s personality, it’s not so surprising why she does poorly when it comes to academics. Sure, it’s in Hizume’s interest to make sure Kohane passes the exam. Still, it’s funny to see her fool around by drawing pictures about cheerleading. Eventually, Kohane becomes focused after Hizume mentions that good grades can attract an advisor. Still, I can’t imagine Kohane becoming a nerd and abandon cheerleading, which Hizume fears.
Thankfully, Kohane haven’t changed completely as Kohane feared. Sadly, she reassured Kohane that she doesn’t have to follow Hizume. In short, Kohane forgot everything and she failed the exams, thus she has to take supplementary exams. I guess Uki shouldn’t have done that until after the tests. That way, Kohane would have passed.
Aside from that, at least the cheer association is now a reality. Also, Kohane doesn’t have to practice on the roof, although the room they practiced in is haunted. The mysterious red-haired girl peeking in and running away doesn’t help either. The funny thing, she will be one of the last members who will eventually join.
Apparently, Kon with Kotetsu come to visit, apparently for romance advice. The funny thing is that Kon has a crush on her private tutor. I find it funny how Hizume and Uki assumes that it was a man, until Kon reveals the tutor is a girl. Yes, that changes everything as we head to school girl lesbian’s territory, rendering Hizume’s and Uki’s advice became useless. Still, it’s quite amazing how Kon admits that she has a crush on a girl and Kohane is okay with it. After all, Kohane thinks it’s great that Kon can fall in love with anyone. It’s quite obvious what this means, right?
While Kohane is unable to recruit Kon since she already joined a club, all hope is not lost. When Kotetsu is about to walk away from the old AV room, she seems to be interested in cheerleading. Given the preview next time, she will be the fourth member, leaving only one more member needed to reach club status. How Kotetsu will do next time, we have to wait and see.
Lesbians in Girls Club/CGDCT series is nothing new but as one person said this is celebrating girls who openly like girls, or rather “come out”. It was nicely done.
Looking forward to the soon to be fourth member joining the Association next time.
Also let us not forget the fiery flames of jealousy.
Yes, it’s a nice moment from this episode. But in no doubt that Kotetsu will be that next member.
