Now that Satou directs Taiyou to lure Asahi away, Shouko just done something that is seen as unforgivable to Satou.
As Asahi finds a lead, he meets with Taiyou. Taiyou gives something that has Shio’s name on it. Shortly afterwards, Asahi becomes distrustful towards him after feeling elated. He pushes TaIyou away for being a dirty adult like the rest of them. Taiyou then throws Asahi to the ground in retaliation and runs off. While Asahi tries to find him again, he runs into Shouko. She tells him not to torture himself. She eventually kisses him before he left.
The next day, Satou goes out to buy cakes and two rings to celebrate their anniversary. Shio eventually wants to make a cake with Satou after eating some and wants to marry her. Eventually, Satou becomes elated as she opens the door and Shio hugs her. Out there was Shouko, who took a picture of them on her smart phone in horror. Eventually, Satou takes her into the apartment to eliminate her.
It’s quite obvious that Asahi is a threat to Satou’s Happy Sugar Life. After all, he wants to find his little sister so they can reunite with her mother. The thing is, Shio doesn’t seem to care about her mother and probably forgotten about her older brother. Even if he finds her, it’s very unlikely Shio wants to return with him.
Still, it’s obvious why Asahi is very distrustful towards Taiyou since he seems like the rest of the adults. What he doesn’t know is that Taiyou distrusts adults, particularly adult women given his PTSD from that moment. Asahi can’t simply generalize that everyone is like that. After all, Shouko is around the same age and genuinely cares about him. Yes, that much that she kind of wants him as her boyfriend as she kisses him. Sadly, it doesn’t last as you see later.
It comes as no surprise that Satou will celebrate her anniversary with Shio. It’s sweet that Shio wants to bake a cake with her someday and even marry her. Of course, Satou comes prepared. It’s obvious that Shio brings a lot of joy into Satou’s life that she wants to be with her forever. There is one problem.
From the looks of it, Satou let her guard down and Shouko took a picture of her with Shio hugging Satou. It’s obvious that Shouko is done since this is seen as betraying her friend. No matter how much she says that she loves Satou and promises not to tell the police, Satou does not trust her.
In short, Shouko triggered the death flag as Satou proceeds to eliminate her from her own life. If only Shouko didn’t meddled into Satou’s personal life, her fate wouldn’t ended up like this. Is Shouko’s sacrifice worth it just to send that photo to Asahi? You decide.
The moment Shoko took that picture of Satou and Shio her fate was sealed. Poor dear. She should have walked away but her love for Asahi was her undoing. Very brutal but not surprising end to her life. As some people have mentioned it was good that the writers didn’t hold back and showed all the gruesome details of her murder because we were meant to feel disgusted.
Now we hope Satou and Shio somehow find a way to escape the impending doom.
Shouko made a mistake of helping out Asahi, which is Satou’s arch rival or something. Sure, in any story, he would be viewed as a hero, but of course with a story like this, he is a hindrance to Satou. But yes, that scene is gruesome at the very least.
But I wonder what will happen next. Will Satou try to escape with Shio far away so nobody can find them. We have to wait and see.
Righto dood.
Only time will tell how our heroines will get out of this pickle, If they can find a way out.
