Yes, there is more Tsubasa and Koyume moments where that came from.
At last, Koyume finally managed to get colored pages in her manga. While Kaoruko is still struggling with the manuscript, she decides to go out with her friends. Tsubasa reveals that she is having trouble trying to figure out what her heroine should in a slice of life episode. Koyume helps her out by sweets and look for clothing for Tsubasa. After returning home, Tsubasa went to work on her manuscripts.
The next day, Ruki notices that Koyume became rounder. The girls start squishing and grabbing her arms, legs and belly. As a result of the weight gain, Koyume lost motivation to draw anything and he can’t fit in any of her cute clothing. From this, she decides to go on a diet and start running in the morning with Tsubasa while refraining from eating sweets. However, it doesn’t work out as her editor noticed that her manuscripts are lifeless. When Tsubasa came to the door of the building, she sees a crying Koyume. Koyume eventually comes to terms and decided to eat sweets again. Her manuscripts became lively again and she was able to lose the weight at the same time.
Lastly, Koyume, Kaoruko, Ruki and eventually Nijino helps Tsubasa to search for her manuscripts. While Kaoruko found something that looks like it in the library, it happens to be Nijino’s yaoi manuscripts, which Nijino takes back. Tsubasa becomes upset that she couldn’t find it until Suzu came over and hands it to her. However, her friends didn’t realize it was Suzu until she unties her hair.
I have to admit that I didn’t expect more Koyume and Tsubasa, but it’s always nice to see more. After all, there is no denying that Koyume have a huge crush on her. If you look at her manuscript, the heroine’s love interest looks feminine, or rather looks exactly like Tsubasa.
Also, it’s nice to see her more feminine side of Tsubasa as Koyume takes her shopping. I can’t believe that Tsubasa used to have long hair. This is when she was a child, when she used to be girly despite being interested in boy’s manga. I guess she became stoic when she started working on her manga. Still, I have to admit that child Tsubasa kind of looks like Chino, more so when Ruki thinks Tsubasa is cute like a little chick.
In the second half, Koyume experiences the usual diet woes. It is understandable why her story went nowhere since she can’t live without sweets. While eating sweets again did resolve this issue, it’s quite obvious why she wants to lose weight. She wants to lose weight so she can wear cute clothes so Tsubasa will think that she is cute. While the date in the 5th episode makes this obvious, this instance brings home the point. Yes, Koyume have a huge crush on Tsubasa. Still, it’s nice to see them run together.
As for the manuscript search, I find it funny how Nijino’s yaoi manuscripts end up in the library. It’s quite obvious that she is hiding something given her reaction. Still, I find it hilarious how Suzu is the one that found Tsubasa’s manuscripts. I bet she did it so she can scare her friends. Still, I have to admit that Suzu cleans up quite nicely when she is at school.
It was great seeing sides of Koyume and Tsubasa we had never seen before along with the two growing closer. So nice.
Miss Nijino also had some fun scenes.
Suzu’s so awesome that yet again she had less than a minute of screen time yet was one of the best parts of the episode.
Next time will hopefully be KAOS X Ruki’s turn to grow closer as a couple.
It’s always nice to see more progression with Koyume and Tsubasa. Hopefully we will see more for Ruki and Kaoruko.
I agree that Suzu is awesome. Her character is voiced by one of my favorite voice actress.
