Sakura’s grandfather makes a surprise visit. It’s obvious that Sakura was looking forward to that date with Syaoran.
Sakura prepares lunch as she plans to share it on her date with Syaoran. She leaves some for Kero and Yuki. Eventually, Sakura receives a phone call from Tomoyo’s mom that Sakura’s grandfather wants to meet her. Sakura calls Syaoran about what Tomoyo’s mom said. Syaoran decides to tag alone as she takes him to her grandfather’s house. Sakura introduces Syaoran to her grandfather and they had lunch and tea. While Sakura goes to refill the tea kettle, Sakura’s grandfather reveals to Syaoran that he regrets not talking to Sakura’s mother, Nadeshiko before she passed away.
Meanwhile, Kero shared lunch with Yuki. They eventually talk about Sakura’s powers becoming immensely strong. Using a magical circle, they summon themselves in front of Erol. He says that what he fears the most is becoming a reality.
Meanwhile, Sakura tries to find a servant that will refill the tea kettle. She eventually wondered upstairs into her mother’s room. Sakura decides to use the Record card to look into her mother’s past. Of course, when she went a bit too far, she saw the clock dream again. This time, Sakura knew who the masked figure is. She eventually wakes up feeling weak. Her grandfather instructs the maid call the doctor. At the same time, Akiho woke up from the dream and eventually falls asleep.
I have to admit that it’s nice to see a glimpse of Sakura’s mother Nadeshiko. As expected, she is cheerful like Sakura, minus the athleticism. Still, it’s interesting to learn why Sakura’s father feels down as he was unable to apologize to her for not being able to celebrate with her. It happens, but surely Sakura won’t mind too much about this.
The interesting part of this episode is Sakura going into the past to see what her mother it’s like. It was nice to see what her mother did while she was young. Of course, she warns Sakura not to go too far in the past before Sakura realized. It was too late since Sakura saw the clock dream.
This time Sakura knew who the masked figure. While Sakura didn’t say her name, Akiho mentioned that she was the robed figure means one thing. It’s quite obvious who is the robed figure since it’s subtly hinted in previous episodes. Yes, it’s Akiho, but I wonder why?
Given what happened in the end where Momo mentions that Sakura’s dream is synchronizing with Akiho’s, this shows that Kaito is up to something possibly evil. This can explain why Sakura’s powers are getting stronger all the sudden. It’s because the power of the dream is growing. Either way, Kaito will have a hard time given that Kero, Yue, Erol and Syaoran will protect Sakura. With that, it seems that things are finally heat up as we head to the final two episodes. The final two episodes should be interesting.
