After Kobayashi took Tohru and Kanna on a trip to visit her own parents, it’s finally Valentine’s Day. It’s obvious what Tohru will do.
It’s almost Valentine’s Day and it’s obvious that Tohru will have a field day. She decided to create some strange chocolate so she can get Kobayashi fall in love with her. The funny thing is that Kobayashi saw through her plan as she has trust issues with Tohru’s chocolates. Maybe it has to do with the numerous times Tohru tried to have Kobayashi eat her tail meat? Either way, Tohru ends up taking the chocolate back and hiding it under the sink. Of course, Kanna will find it eventually.
Meanwhile at school, it seems that Riko is nervous in giving Valentine’s Day chocolates to her crush. Of course, given how adorable Kanna is, she received a lot of “friendship” chocolates from her classmates. It’s funny how Kanna called Riko’s chocolates “friendship chocolates,” which made her become disappointed. However, she eventually receives some enjoyment when she feed Kanna a piece of chocolate with her finger going into her mouth. Kanna licking her fingers causes Riko to have feelings of bliss.
While Kobayashi receives a lot of chocolates at work, Kanna ate all of hers in one sitting. With that, she looks for more chocolates and found the one Tohru hid. Yes, she took a bite from it. Eventually, Kobayashi saw that Kanna eating chocolates and took a bite from it. As expected, she started acting funny and Kanna almost made a move on Kobayashi trying to check her temperature. Thankfully, she resisted herself before things got worse.
In short, Kobayashi took most of her clothing off and Tohru came in wondering what is wrong. Tohru sat on her bed and it almost look like they were about to kiss. Nope, Kobayashi went on a rant about maids.
It seems that the so-called “Love Potion” Tohru put in the chocolate is just alcohol. How can she be this naïve to make a silly mistake like this? Still, I think it will be funnier if Tohru used actual love potion. Even so, it’s surprising that Kanna didn’t become drunk.
In the second half, Takiya invites Kobayashi and her friends for a hot springs trip. It seems that Tohru never experienced maids at a hot springs hotel. Either way, it’s funny how Kobayashi prefers Kanna over Tohru and Lucoa after looking at their chests while in the bath. Also, Riko had feelings of bliss while washing Kanna’s back. Either way, the ping-pong matches were hilarious, especially between Tohru and Elma. Also, Shouta becomes flustered after looking at a sword keychain and Lucoa asked about it.
When everyone is in their rooms, Kobayashi and Tohru eventually decided to walk outside. From there, Tohru presents the actual Valentine’s Day chocolate. Kobayashi accepts it this time and takes a bite of it. Afterwards, they hold hands and head back to the inn. In short, this special episode is very enjoyable with some nice moments with Kobayashi and Tohru along with Kanna and Riko.
It’s a pretty fun episode, but also nothing important — which is perfect for an OVA. And somehow it’s even more gayer than the main series, lol
It was indeed a fun episode, but it’s nice to see a lot of yuri compared to other episodes. It must be the power of Valentine’s Day and a hot springs episode combined.
