At last, a certain character finally appears. What surprise does she have in store?
From last time, a mysterious girl decides to get a job. Her name is Kanazki Hideri. Maika walked in while Dino conducted an interview with her. She wants to work at Café Stile since her dream is to become an idol. When the rest of the girls saw Hideri, they find her so adorable that they want Dino to hire her.
When she addresses herself, she addresses herself as boku, which is used commonly with young males. Of course, Miu doesn’t think much of this as she finds it adorable. The girls find Hideri cute when she wore Maika’s extra waitress outfit.
Of course, it didn’t take long for Hideri to reveal her true gender. When there is a cockroach coming, Miu freaked out. Of course, Hideri hits the cockroach with her hands and throws it without hesitation.
With that, this gives the impression that Hideri is a boy. In fact, Dino reveals his true gender. Hideri is a male, but namely a otokonoko (男の娘), a Japanese term meaning a male who cross-dresses as a girl. Of course, you probably knew this already due to how he addresses himself and his feminine appearance. Still, it’s funny how he changes from his idol persona when he complains.
Aside from the gender reveal, he tries to help Dino to win over Maika’s heart. This ranges from giving complements to gift giving. Of course, given how oblivious Maika is, every attempt ends up falling flat. Still, it’s funny how Koyo ends up kicking Dino in the back for trying to hit on high school girls.
In the second half while Miu walks home, she saw Hideri on the phone. I find it funny how she proceeds to grab and scold him for using a phone while walking. It’s understandable since people actually do this in real life.
Either way, Miu takes Hideri clothes shopping since he wants to find a new outfit. Miu tries to find a cute outfit with impact for him. It’s obvious that she is using him as a dress up doll.
Eventually, Mafuyu and Miu tries to dress him in different outfits Mafuyu have the next day. I have to admit that this is hilarious. Hideri even had a bad dream with him and the whole staff wearing kindergarten uniforms. Also, Miu dresses up as a kindergarten teacher. I have to admit that Koyo and Dino depicted as children is kind of cute.
Aside from that, Miu also punches him in the stomach when she complains. She even grabs him when he had to go to the bathroom and tried to go to the women’s rest room. Either way, it seems that Miu and Hideri might make a good pairing as opposites attract. Miu’s name in kanji (美雨) means beautiful rain. Of course, Hideri literally means drought in Japanese. Either way, Hideri makes a nice addition to the cast since everyone seem to like otokonoko characters.
Not to mention, Hideri is voiced by the same voice actress as Yazawa Nico. I kind of wish he will say “Nico Nico Ni~” for laughs.
