Hinako couldn’t sleep because the room is too cold. When she goes downstairs into the kitchen, she finds something shocking. What is it?
While it’s not surprising that Hinako wants to drink something warm to warm herself up, she notices something. It seems that Mayuki is in the kitchen making something. Given that Mayuki looks like a witch in the dark, Hinako becomes scared. Mayuki then wants to hide what she is making. It’s quite obvious to see why.
She is making Valentine’s day chocolates for Chiaki. She apparently said Chiaki’s name to make the chocolates taste better. This is probably why this freaked Hinako out. Still, it’s funny how Hinako is freaked out that Mayuki might be making poison that she can’t sleep. Of course, Yua is probably doing the same thing as she also has a crush on Chiaki.
The next day, it’s obvious what day it is. Hinako notices when Mayuki gives chocolates to her and Chiaki. As for Yua, it seems that she has trouble giving hers to Chiaki. It’s not surprising since Chiaki is receiving numerous boxes from other students. There is no wonder Yua becomes nervous. Thankfully, she eventually gained the courage to give it to her crush after hearing Mayuki’s experiences with Chiaki.
With that, Chiaki accepts it and offers her a special surprise. Yua becomes surprised after entering the shop. Yes, Chiaki, Mayuki and Hinako wearing maid outfits handing out chocolates. It’s obvious that Yua will like to see her crush in such an outfit. Not surprising since Chiaki looks good in anything.
As for the second half, the girls go to see a play after Chiaki bought tickets. While Mayuki is not interested initially, she eventually changes her mind. It’s probably because she heard that the theater is near the Suzuran. Either way, it’s funny to see Hinako managing to get lost after getting out of the train station.
In the end, it seems that everyone enjoyed the play. The girls are surprised that Yua, Ruriko and Ruriko’s mother attended. Yes, it’s a coincidence, but it’s nice to see them there. As the girls go out for dinner, the girls are hopeful that they will be able to perform there in the future.
Final Impressions
As a whole, I enjoyed Hinako Note quite a lot. It’s nice to see Hinako get over her shyness as she participates in theater activities with her friends. Like with most slice of life stories, there are a lot of funny and cute moments. I have to admit that the characters are very enjoyable as well. Either way, hopefully we will see a sequel or perhaps some OVAs to see how the girls are doing in reaching their goal.
Once again we must sadly bid farewell to another wonderful Girls Club show but as with Urara Meirochou this will hopefully be “bye for now”. We need more. MORE I TELL YOU!
Hopefully someday we will se more.
