After the disaster of the grill out with the rain coming, Ririko starts to think she is the dragon. Will she be able to get over it?
Last time, >things didn’t go well at the . It started to rain. Yoshino while being with other people accidentally broke the dragon stone statue. Thankfully, Doku was able to fix it like the accident never happened. However, the mystery deepens with the mud-covered floor and chair in the palace. It must be the man who came out of the pond. Sadly, he has nothing to do with the story involving the dragon.
While Yoshino, Maki, Sanae and Shiori focused on the tour, Ririko is in bed after catching a cold from being wet. She eventually reads a story about the Manoyama dragon. The people want to keep the dragon away. To do this, the villagers singed and danced. With that, Ririko thinks that she is the dragon from the story.
This is not surprising given what Ririko went though. Her mother and father, who is one of Chiotse’s sons got married. Apparently, his wife couldn’t adjust to life in Manoyama and her father doesn’t want to run in the bakery. They eventually went to the city. After Ririko born, they divorced. Ririko’s father got a job overseas, thus leaving Ririko with Chitose. This can explain why Chitose seems bitter towards outsiders.
After hearing the disagreements between Chiotose and Yoshino, Ririko decides to look into the dragon story further. She finds out that the alternative version where the villagers want to get to know the dragon girl more. They danced and sung to attract it. Sadly, the dragon girl never came out and she eventually died being all alone.
While Ririko wants to tell the story to Sanae and Maki, one of the community club members pushed her aside. He said she is not a normal girl because of her abnormal interests. She didn’t tell it and walks away. Thankfully, Yoshino found her so she can learn more about the story. Also, they found out that there is a song that people of Manoyama forgotten although the dance remain. Thankfully, Yoshino comforts Ririko saying that she likes her as and not let what other people think of her bother her.
Surprisingly, Sandal knows the song. It’s not surprising since one of his great grandparents is from Manoyama, who passed down the song. It’s nice that Chitose eventually accepts Yoshino’s invitation to go to see the new Ririko. After Ririko sang the song, Chitose finally realizes how her granddaughter changed.
I have to admit that it’s a nice resolution as Ririko finally becomes more open. Not only that, hopefully this changes Chitose’s mind that not all outsiders are bad. Aside from that, it seems that none of the community club members got a wife from the tour yet. Not so surprising as the man who stalked them was someone’s lover. Yes, one of the ladies are taken, which got one of the members disappointed. Better luck next time!
