Hinako Note – Episode 6 – The Big Opening Night

May 12, 2017 by Chikorita157 2 Comments
As expected, it’s difficult for Hinako to put a corset on.

The big day has come as Hinako performs on stage during the cultural festival. Will the performance be a success?

After all the preparation Hinako did with the help of her friends last time, the big day has almost come. She finally got her costume that she will wear during the play. Yes, Kuina, Chiaki and Mayuki had to help Hinako put the corset on properly. It was worth it since Hinako looked pretty in the stage dress she will perform in. Still, it’s funny how Hinako doesn’t realize that Chiaki won’t be on stage. It’s not surprising since Ruriko wants to give newcomers the spotlight.

As for the rehearsal of the murder mystery play, Yua plays as the detective while Kuina is a maid. As expected, Hinako is the perpetrator behind the killings. From the rehearsal, it seems that the practice paid of well. Well, it’s maybe because Toritarou helping her remember the lines, which is kind of cheating. Still, Yua is surprised how much of an improvement Hinako made. It’s not surprising since Hinako’s performance was almost perfect.

While Yua forgot the hankerchief, at least Hinako improvised so the performance won’t become a disaster.

Sadly, it seems that Hinako can’t remember other lines after spending a whole night reading other people’s lines. It’s not surprising since Hinako is the main heroine and she has the most lines to memorize. Thankfully, Kuina and Yua managed to do a last-minute practice session and got the lines down. In other words, crisis averted, or is it?

Before the performance, Hinako felt nervous. However, during the scene where Yua takes out the handkerchief, she forgot about it. As expected, Hinako distracted Yua that she forgot it. Thankfully, Hinako improvised. Eventually Mayuki came on stage and presented a replacement handkerchief. Given that Mayuki a maid’s outfit, she doesn’t look too out of place. Despite the mishap, the overall performance of the play was a huge success that Yua thanks her long after the performance ended.

At last, Yua is willing to help Hinako with her troupe.

With that, Ruriko now makes the drama club official now that everyone is ready. It’s nice that she is willing to help Hinako with her trope along with Yua offering to help too.

It’s hilarious how Kuina talks about how the food tastes, but not eat any of it.

Aside from that, there are some funny moments, especially Kuina describing all the food she brought. It’s hilarious how the theme of 2001: The Space Odyssey plays in the background while that happened. Aside from that, it’s nice that Hinako experienced acting first hand in front of an audience. The good thing is that she didn’t freeze up at all, which is a good sign. Still, this makes me wonder, will Mayuki finally join? After all, she gave her introduction during the rehearsal and it was very convincing.

What we got to see from the preparations and the big show itself were great.

HinaYua got some major brownie points. They’re made for each other.

Kuina doesn’t eat paper as much as I had hoped but she’s still a fun “black hole/bottomless pit” character.

The next episode will be a blessing for many of us.

Yua and Hinako is bound to happen despite Yua wanting to deny it. I think Hinako earned her respect given that she gave a good performance.

Yes, it’s not surprising to see Kuina having a bottomless pit for a stomach. Just look how much food she bought. It can feed all her friends.
