It seems that a director picked Manoyama to film a movie there. However, Shiori feels reluctant to letting the director use a certain house. Also, Maki refuses to help them whatsoever. I wonder why?
At last, the movie filming brings a good opportunity to promote Monoyama. However, it seems that Maki wants no part of it. It’s not so surprising since Hayama Taiga is the leading actress in the movie. Later on, one of the actress cannot work on the project due to an injury. Yoshino asks Maki to stand in. she doesn’t to help and gives her an outburst.
After Sanae heard Taiga’s conversation with to Maki, we find out why Maki doesn’t want to act anymore. She believes that acting is not a good fit for her, even after refusing to eat cicada for a TV show with Taiga. In other words, she is not 100% into it since she got too carried away with other people praising her. It’s understandable that people have setbacks once in a while. Still, her refusal to help out with the production confuses me. After all, she helped out with the acting in a commercial in the 2nd episode. Is it because of Taiga’s presence? Maybe?
Still, when you reject something that you passionately want to do because of a bad experience, you are simply a quitter. It can explain why Sanae is angry. It just like me giving up on perusing a job in technology because of one bad experience. One has to get back on the horse and keep trying. This is probably why I felt that Maki’s outburst towards Yoshino is not justified. Hopefully she will change her mind after realizing what she did.
Overall, it’s nice that the townspeople are participating. It’s funny how Ririko’s mother changes her mind. It must be that she doesn’t want Manoyama become know for the Chupakabura sweet bun. Also, I wonder why Shiori doesn’t want the director use a particular house. Maybe she has some kind of attachment to it? We’ll find out soon enough.
