While Tohru goes shopping, she notices a strange presence. Who is it might be?
If you recall from last time, Tohru went back to her world to get special ingredients for the omurice. Without knowing, Tohru’s father have detected her. With Tohru’s old self not being happy with what Tohru is actually doing, it’s quite obvious that something is wrong. Yes, her father came to pick her up and Kanna is the only one that noticed what is going on.
In short, Kobayashi started feeling lonely and somewhat depressed that Tohru disappeared. She actually struggled with doing chores and cooking as she used to have Tohru do everything. Kanna also feels the same way too, but thankfully she has Riko. Even so, it’s still hard on her.
Several days later, Tohru suddenly returned out of the blue. Of course, this lead to her father coming back to the human world to take Tohru home. Of course, she doesn’t want to. Is this time for Kobayashi to finally speak up?
When Tohru’s father decided to attack Kobayashi. This caused her to finally snap after having her glasses break. She defends Tohru by saying that Tohru doesn’t want return. Sure, Tohru’s father try to convince her otherwise by saying that Tohru might plot against the humans, but Kobayashi isn’t buying it. Still, it’s funny how Tohru’s father ask Kobayashi if she likes Tohru. It’s not surprising since Kobayashi said that Tohru is her maid. Even so, it would be hypocritical for Tohru’s father to think about killing Kobayashi as he would go against his beliefs.
In short, Tohru eventually went to an alternative world with her father to fight. I never knew it will come to this, but it’s not surprising since Tohru likes Kobayashi. In short, Kobayashi rode on Kanna so she can stop the fight. In the end, her father reluctantly let Tohru to stay, even if it means disowning her. It’s kind of sad that they didn’t compromise, but at least Tohru gets to be with Kobayashi.
With that, life returns back to normal. Eventually, Kobayashi eventually takes Kanna and Tohru to visit her family.
Final Short Impressions
I have to admit, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon is a very enjoyable show. It mostly has to do with the enjoyable characters and the comedy. Sure, some of the comedy gets a bit repetitive such as Tohru trying to get Kobayashi to eat her tail meat, but for the most part, it’s enjoyable. It’s not surprising given how cute Kanna is and Tohru being a cheerful and caring maid who loves Kobayashi.
As expected, the yuri potential is high here. It’s not surprising given that Tohru has a huge crush on Kobayashi and Riko has a crush on Kanna. In short, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon is probably one of the most enjoyable shows for this year so far and it will be missed. Hopefully there will be a sequel if it’s popular enough.
A wonderful conclusion to a wonderful show. Both main yuri couples delivered and there was even a cute yaoi ship. The other duo is hit and miss.
Here’s hoping we’ll get more in the near future.
I have to admit that the show exceeds expectations with the yuri couples. I agree, hopefully we will see more in the future.
