It’s almost the end of the year and Kobayashi decides to spend that time with Tohru and Kanna.
Compared to the craziness of last week’s episode, this one is calmer in comparison as the year comes to an end. It’s unfortunate that Tohru didn’t win the trip to a hot spring so she can spend time with Kobayashi. This would have been a dream trip. At least they get a kotatsu to keep warm. That is a good way to keep warm before the new year. Of course, Tohru is hard at work making dinner while Kobayashi and Kanna goes through a basket of fruits.
On the last day of the year, apparently Kanna wants to wear a kimono that Riko gave her. I have to admit that Kanna looks adorable in anything. Likewise, Kobayashi gives Tohru her kimono to wear. It’s too bad that Kobayashi doesn’t want to wear one. Either way, we get to see Riko and her older sister again. Also, Lucoa and Elma went too wearing their own kimonos.
As always, poor Shouta can’t stop being so embarrassed while being around with Lucoa. Still, it’s cute how Riko suggests a relationship charm to Kanna and Tohru gets a bad fortune reading. Thankfully Kobayashi cheered Tohru up that she should interpret it as things will get better in the future.
With reining in the new year, Kanna suggest that she should being their friends over Kobayashi’s house. They did just that and they served food. It’s funny how Tohru still serves her tail to Kobayashi even if she won’t eat it.
After the celebration, Kobayashi eventually talks to her mother over the phone. From this, Kobayashi asks Tohru if she will go back home to visit. It seems that Tohru doesn’t want to and would rather be with Kobayashi. I wonder why? Still, I am curious about the meeting next time. We’ll see.
Kanna continues stealing the hearts of many, especially Riko.
Tohru and Miss Kobayashi also make sure to keep on being totes adorbs together.
Looking forward to seeing the (most likely) flashback episode next time.
This show will be greatly missed when it ends.
like every anime we love >–< 12 episodes are really not enough for an anime series :-/
Not so surprising given Kanna’s cuteness. Believe it or not, she has a spinoff, which doesn’t surprise me. But yes, I will definitely miss the show once it finish airing.
