As Kagari continues her research, Koatou tries to figure more things out about her.
While this episode felt more like an information dump for the audience, Kotarou learns the truth behind salvation. It’s not a bad thing since it’s Kagari’s way to prevent the eventual end of the world. By killing Kagari, humanity is just kicking the can until the end of the world ultimately happens.
Judging from all of Kotarou’s friends coming back to life, it makes me wonder if people actually die when salvation happens. From the looks of it, it’s not necessarily the case. Still, salvation is obviously not a viable solution since Kagari doesn’t want it to happen.
Aside from that, with Kagari’s research almost complete, there were some nice moments with her and Kotarou. They drank coffee together and even danced with her, which is one the best moments in this episode. Aside from that, it seems that Kashima Sakura is pretty much alive as monsters appear to target Kagari. Despite that, they managed to escape.
Still, it’s quite obvious that she wanted to stop Kagari with all those monsters appearing. She wants humanity remain extinct forever. After all, she is the one that hates humans and living things. Thankfully with Kotarou’s friends protecting the key, Sakura will have a hard time to kill Kagari. Either way, I’m happy to see all his friends again.
