Now that Gaia unleashed their secret weapon, how will Kotarou and his friends defend themselves?
From the looks of it, it seems that Gaia have unleashed their powerful weapon, the Earth Dragon. Akane under possession by the Holy Saint basically handed it to Takasago. He was able to smash through the barrier set up by Sakuya. It seems that the barrier wasn’t strong enough to protect the paradise. In short, Takasago basically burned it to the ground and Kotori’s monsters couldn’t defeat the Earth Dragon. Kotori even used her parents to defend them against Takasago. Clearly, she was upset having to use them since they were the first monsters she created. Not to mention, her actual parents were already dead from the accident ten years ago.
Even after they escaped, Takasago managed to catch up to them. While Kotarou managed to land a hit on him, it seems that Guardian members surrounded Takasago. It’s surprising that he let Kotarou flee with Kagari. He probably did that so Gaia’s plan will not get interrupted. After all, Guardian wants to eliminate Kagari to prevent salvation from happening. Still, it’s understandable why Takasago hates humanity given what happened to his parents. Still, I don’t care too much considering how crazy he was.
Aside from that, Shizuru finally reunited to heal Kotarou and Lucia. They managed to arrive at the City of Stone, which causes Kagari to act strangely. When Sakura intends to start the salvation process, she doesn’t realize all of mankind is not too bad. Sure, there are ones that done horrible things, but it shouldn’t define all of humanity.
Sadly, it will be too late given that she will eventually control Akane’s body to have the world destroyed. From the looks of it, Sakura might be getting her wish. With Kotarou and his friends gets warped back to the real world, will Salvation actually happen? Is this the end of humanity or there is some hope left? We’ll see in the last episode.
