The big event has finally come. Who will win the race? You will find out soon enough.
Updates
As it seems, Funimation is still having issues subbing Kumamiko and of course, I happened to subscribe to their service only to find out it’s not subbed yet. It is not a big loss since it might come in handy once I go on vacation in early July as I won’t have to go through the hassle of downloading episodes over a slow hotel connection. Either way, I will eventually review the service after using it for three months to share what I thought about it.
Aside from that, my new Vita capture device has finally come in and it only took two weeks. I decided to do the mod since the Playstation TV is now officially end of life after it started selling in 2015, meaning that the compatibility will get worse as time goes on. In short, I had my older Vita modded although it’s pricy (probably cost as much as the setup I have with a device that strips HDCP and converts it to component along with a Hauppauge HD PVR). I’m surprised that it only took two weeks to get it done considering that I have horror stories with them taking a long time to ship the 3DS version. In short, I will be reviewing games that are not compatible with the Vita TV in the future (which includes Kantai Collection and Love Live School Idol Paradise).
As always, I encourage people to comment instead of just liking the post if one can as I don’t just blog just to share my thoughts on my hobby, but also for the social aspect. It’s something that motivates me to continue aside from just talking to my real life friends, which aren’t that interested in anime.
With that, now onwards to the anime impressions for this week.
Bakuon – Episode 7
At last, it’s finally the day of the big race that everyone was waiting for and yep, the girls are wearing maid outfits as their uniforms while Hijiri wear a villainess outfit while she is the commentator for the race. The funny thing is that their classmates do not know anything about bikes, especially Suzuki, which seem foreign to them. Yep, Rin was very upset that none of the girls mentioned Suzuki, but knew about Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki. The funny thing is that there is one girl who mentions Harley Davidson, which is not a Japanese bike maker, but an American one. Yes, this is part of the joke since it is meant to make Rin look like a big fangirl. The funny thing is that girl bets on Rin anyways, which is kind of cute.
As for the race, it was unpredictable. Sure, the principal betted big on Raimu winning, but it seems that she fell out of the race rather quickly. On the other hand, the other girls took it safely, especially Hane until the she caught up to them not once, but twice, especially towards the end. As they say, slow and steady wins the race, but not really since Onsa and Rin were neck to neck while Raimu almost hit the finish line after her engine blew out, but didn’t quite make it. Still it’s surprising that she was able to make a comeback rather quickly, but still lost in the end by a very close margin.
While Rin won by a little, it’s funny to see her boast about Suzuki and how great it is while the girls don’t seem to care about their motorcycles opposed to their cars. On the other hand, Hane’s older sister seems disappointed. Even so, it looks like we might have another member that might be interested in joining next year. Will she be another Azu-nyan? Time will only tell.
Hundred – Episode 7
Yep, it’s yet another beach episode, at least for the first half. It appears that Sakura has transferred into Hayato’s school, which causes Emilia to become upset. I guess things would differ if Emilia didn’t keep her disguise as a boy. She would be able to fight to win Hayato’s heart without fearing of having her disguise ruined. Yep, it’s her loss since Claire and Sakura has a huge advantage over her, at least at the moment.
Aside from that, we now know that Liza is not just a computer, but actually more like Hayato and serves as a power source for Little Garden. Sure, Claire was upset that her brother bought him there. Either way, she will become important later on, so we have to wait and see.
In short, the episode is not too exciting, except the dual between Hayato and Claudia who is begging Emilia to return to her home country. I won’t be surprised if Claudia transfers so Little Garden so that she can be with Emilia. Either way, it looks like those three hunters will appear next time as Hayato and the others have to clean up some Savages next time.
Pan de Peace – Episode 7
Oh no, Noa is apparently sick! Still, it’s nice to see Ami, who is her little sister, which is surprising since she looks a bit older compared to Noa, who looks like a child. Even so, it’s nice to see the girls bring some bread and of course, strawberry milk. Yep, it’s obvious that Fuyumi has a huge crush on Noa, especially considering how cute she is.
Been busy IRL, the only anime that I watched and kept up with is Bakuon, lol. Nothing much to add on it other than the fact that it is pretty entertaining. Also looking forward to the new character.
I have been busy as well at work, but I’m looking forward to the new character given that she is serious about bikes to the level as Azusa is with music. I think she will fit in quite nicely when the time comes.
