With chaos ensuing on the island thanks to the fire that looks like an arson at the department store, it’s clear that someone is after Uzal’s secret weapon.
It’s pretty odd that a fire would break out in a department store. Taking a look what happened from the Colonel’s point of view, it was definitely no arson, but a freak accident. Yep, the Colonel or rather Ian Krutz, which is actual name finally reveals his motives as he has his guys hack through BUER so that he can use it for his secret plans to take over the island in the name of world peace because America.
To me, I highly doubt his motives are in good faith considering that he is using methods to make it look like he is taking over the whole island by intentionally destabilizing the island with all the hacking. BUER basically went into rampage mode with all the network disturbances and of course, a beam which dealt major damage to the department store. It’s not so surprising considering that the secret weapon Uzal created has a lot of protective measures such as destroying the city when its disturbed, which will eventually lead to it becoming self-destructive. Considering how powerful it is, it won’t be surprising if it wipes the whole island off the map.
Now that Clarion and Nene finally got repaired, it seems that Clarion knows that something is fishy going on the island. From the fire that happened in the last episode, she has to do something. With Takumi’s help, she managed to infiltrate the base that holds BUER without killing anyone. I have to admit that it was odd to see the unnamed bunny girl rebel try to launch an unsuccessful attack. However, Ian’s robot pretty much wrecked the robot rank that Clarion was using, which is powerful in its own right.
From the looks of it, we are finally at the showdown, which will determine the fate of the island. It’s obvious that Clarion does not want Nene to get involved to neutralize BUER because it will be dangerous. Then again, I have a feeling that Clarion facing Ian off alone is probably not a good idea. How will Nene react if she finds out that Clarion is going on a mission to neutralize BUER alone. Either way, she will eventually find out and try to save her from Ian. Still, I find it ironic that America is all about freedom yet they want to take over the island.]
I’m not sure Kurtz is responsible for the network disturbances, just BUER going berserk.
Clarion and the Gercommas were awesome. Deep down she loves Nene. Looking forward to Nene’s rescue mission.
If hacking is involved, then of course it will go berserk… Still, I agree that Clarion was awesome in this episode. There is no doubt that Nene will find out and rescue her quickly next time.
