It seems that Haruhiko isn’t so useless after all. Still, who is this red-haired girl who wears headphones all the time?
From the looks of things, it seems that things are finally looking up with Reina joining the team. Haruhiko is still trying his hardest to stay relevant now that Reina seals phantoms better than he can. This still holds true in this episode as he tries his luck by improving his summoning abilities.
It seems that there is another member that they might want to recruit as club leader suggested. That girl is named Minase Koito and she is a loner. In short, she wears headphones most of the time and hunts phantoms all on her own. She can use her voice to create a loud pitch that will defeat phantoms. Apparently, her ability was canceled out by a robot phantom that was out of control, thus she couldn’t defeat it on her own. Thankfully, Mai, Reina and Haruhiko came to help defeat it so that it can be sealed.
While Koito has a cold personality, there is something mysterious about her. I wonder why she doesn’t get along with the others. Maybe it’s because her ability is powerful or something? While she was disappointed in after she saw them the second time, hopefully we will learn more about her in the next few episodes.
As for the second part, it’s what you would expect from a UFO phantom. Yep, it is a peeping tom and it appears when girls change clothes. After Reina and Mai starts changing, it appears. Given that it can fly, it’s not an easy one to catch. Wearing just only a towel, it seems that Haruhiko got a lot of abuse from Mai and Reina kicking him out of the window on the second floor. Somewhat clichéd, but it was somewhat funny.
Of course, the only thing that allowed them to catch and seal the UFO is Haruhiko summoning a demon named Marchosias, which happens to be a cute puppy with wings. Yep, I thought that thing was going to be something badass, but apparently not. While the dog caused the dresser to fall while it chased after UFO, it eventually caught it so that Reina could seal it away.
While Haruhiko still a long way until he becomes useful, I have a feeling that Reina is becoming an interesting character. Aside from her desire to eat at an all you can eat buffet, which doesn’t come at a surprise given her ability, she has another one that nobody knows about until now. She can apparently heal by putting things in her mouth, such as Haruhiko’s fingers. With that, it makes be wonder what other abilities they might have aside from the main ones.
On the other hand, it seems that Ruru found a strange device that showing something cryptic on the screen from the abandoned factory. Perhaps this device will have something that will reveal more secrets behind these phantoms. We have to wait and see.
