It seems that Chino is now taking up photography.
It looks like Chino has gained an interest in photography that she suddenly got her own camera. I’m quite surprised by the pictures that she took during their trip considering that they are normal compared to the silly photos that Cocoa usually takes. Still, it’s funny that Chino tries to take normal shots while Cocoa tries to sabotage her efforts. Maybe Chino is conspiring with someone to take those normal shots like Mocha?
Yep, it seems like it since Chino received a letter from Mocha to take normal pictures. Sadly, Cocoa still manages to make the pictures look somewhat silly, which causes Chino to become upset. Cocoa becomes dismayed that she is not mature like she was in one of the photos. Of course, she turns around and said that her self-depreciation was a joke. After Chino threw her stuffed bunny while saying that she is glad that Cocoa moved to the town she is in, they had a pillow fight.
To me, this just shows how strong their bonds are since Cocoa first came to the town. Given how much Chino warmed up to Cocoa, especially given how much Cocoa grew in order to become more like an older sister. Sure, she is not as mature compared to her older sister Mocha, but at the same time, she is very cheerful and genuinely cares about Chino. Not too surprising since Megu and Maya already noticed that Chino had more fun with the treasure hunt thanks to Cocoa.
Aside from that, it’s interesting to see how Maya and Megu met Chino during their treasure hunt. It seems that the two mistaken Chino’s interest in becoming a barista as something from a role-playing game. After that, they became friends just like that. Still, it’s nice to see them have fun trying to gather clues on where the treasure is from the maps they gather that lead them to the actual box. From this adventure, the girls just took the coupons from the chest, although the other girls did their own treasure hunt as seen at the end of the episode.
Judging from the letters, it seems that Mocha wants her little sister and her friends to come visit the bakery. Yep, it’s definitely something that might happen in a possible sequel.
Final Thoughts
While the second season is like the first one with a lot of fun, adorable and light-hearted moments, I felt that the sequel is 2 times more enjoyable as the girls do more things like going on trips and such. Also, some of this is mostly because of Mocha showing up along with the relationships developing a bit further. In other words, there are more shipping moments with Cocoa/Chino and Rize/Sharo with a little of Cocoa/Chiya and Chiya/Sharo on the side.
Aside from that, the second season is a very entertaining and feel-good type of show that can brighten up anyone’s day like the first season. With that, it will be missed until a third season is announced. Oh well, at least there is Miracle Girls Festival and a visual novel-like game for the Vita that is coming out in March, which I plan on getting. With that, it’s time for the caffeine withdrawal again, but hopefully a sequel will get announced in the future.
The entire “moe trifecta” need third seasons.
So much win, especially Mocha-Sama’s debut, which was AMAZING!
As you said, more shipping material for old and new couples. Glory be to our coffee overlords!
I agree!
But yes, Mocha is definitely the highlight of the second season, aside from the shipping of course. Makes me wonder what they will have in store with the game.
An imouto harem when following the Mocha-Sama route! One can dream.
