As it seems, things finally get serious as a mysterious girl named Kyo with multicolored nails executes her master plan with the help of Riko. In the meantime, Akari’s dark secret is finally revealed during the diversion they caused.
From the looks of it, it seems that Kyo, the dark-haired girl who is following Riko might be the one that is after Akari. It’s quite obvious when she caused an accident at a construction site. Since she has a strong interest in Akari. It makes me wonder if she is part of the organization that is after Akari given her dark past. It’s evident with Nonoka’s vision with her and Akari escaping a burning apartment as Kyo is about to choke them. It’s unfortunate that Akari is still oblivious about Nonoka’s declining health. If she was a bit more aware, at least she would get an advance warning to deal with Kyo. Sadly, she missed that opportunity.
On the other hand, it seems that Riko and Kyo set up a diversion to possibly try to corner Akari by separating her. While it’s nice that her friends came to help Aria, it seems that Akari revealed yet another and dangerous skill she has, which causes Aria to hesitate. It seems that Akari was hesitant to shoot at first, but once she is told to do so, she shoots. Thankfully, she didn’t fatally wound one of the criminals.
From the looks of it, it seems that she hits all the fatal spots after being told by Aria to shoot the stone statue of a human. It’s possibly a reason Aria wants her to transfer to a different department considering how dangerous the skills Akari has and that Butei are not allowed to kill criminals no matter how many bad deeds they commit. Of course, this upsets Akari, especially after being terrified that she knows skills that an assassin would know. With that, there is no doubt that she will be filled with angst, especially with things getting even worse next time.
With that, it’s easy to see why Kyo and Riko want Akari so badly. Akari currently has the skills which will allow them to wreak havoc. Will Akari realize the visions that Nonoka saw and try to fight back against Kyo without killing her? Also, will Akari get over her dark past and try to suppress these skills? We have to wait until next time to find out.
I saw Nonoka’s visions as flashbacks or a dream sequence. I dunno. Point is Kyo and Riko will shatter poor Akari’s sanity very soon.
Given that Riko is manipulative in the main series before she went to the good side, hopefully Akari will overcome her angst and defeat them.
Right on.
