It’s time for the culture festival and Shoutaro have Sakurako to keep him company. However, what mysteries lies in a science prep room containing boxes of bones along with a dubious locked chest.
After the last episode which a mystery was not really a mystery, it’s time for a build up for a real case this time. It seems that Shoutarou decided to invite her to the festival since his mom is out-of-town. Obviously, one of his classmates became jealous over him inviting her. This is not so surprising, although it’s obvious that Sakurako has a husband since she finally realizes that fact in this episode. Even so, it’s quite obvious given her age that Shoutarou is not romantically interested in her. Still, I have to admit that he looks handsome in the outfit he was wearing. He almost looks like Sakurako’s butler or something.
With Sakurako going to the science room and complaining about how the bones are arranged and shown, it seems that she got another task to do. She and Shoutarou now has to organize the boxes that contains bones of animals and stuff such as books. During the organizing, Shoutarou managed to find a box containing cat bones, which reminded Sakurako of sad memories. In fact, she has a cat specimen named Ulna, which is in fact her dead pet cat that she performed autopsy to find the cause of its death. Sure, it must have been emotional for her to do so with her cat, but she did it anyway, which causes Shoutarou to become upset. Not only that, she did not include it on the list at all, which makes me wonder if she gotten over her loss for her pet knowing that she already lost her younger brother.
On the other hand, it’s kind of fishy that Sasaki, a teacher who passed away left a lot boxes containing bones in a storage room, especially a locked box containing bones of a human that had fire damage. Also, there is a lot of things that does not have Sasaki’s handwriting but instead someone named Natsuko. It makes me wonder, why does he have these bones, books and such in the prep room, especially the human remains of someone. It’s something that Sakurako has to find out.
With that, it seems that the things Sasaki left looks dubious. From the looks of it, it seems connected to the mystery that Sakurako is tasked to solve now after talking to someone who she talked to via computer terminal at a hospital that couldn’t talk. From this, hopefully we will learn more clues about Sakurako’s dark past as she and Shoutarou tries to solve a mystery that bothered her for a while. We’ll see what will be uncovered next time.
Only the last 5 minutes was interesting for me. Others are pretty meh, but it’s going somewhere this time. Just hope it’s going to be a long one, or i’ll be disappointed if it ends next week for this case.
While it’s a slow start, I hope the mystery they will focus on will be a bit more substantial this time considering how disappointing the last mystery was.
