The big match against Akari’s rival, Urara in a Quartet test has finally come. Will Akari manage to win and damage Urara’s big ego? We’ll see…
From the looks of it, you would have thought that Akari’s team would be at a huge disadvantage given that Urara packed her team with skilled brutei. Sadly, it seems that karma has caught up with her being a bit too overconfident. Sure, Akari’s team had two out of the four bee (attack) flags broken in the process, but Shino managed to hold down the two twins while Raika tires out Hina before she and Kirin retreated while deceiving her into thinking the flag they left was an eye flag, but in reality, it was an attack flag. It shows that Kirin really knows how to deceive people.
As for the standoff between Akari and Urara, it’s somewhat apparent that Akari was at a huge disadvantage since the gun Urara was using is more precise and had a longer range. The disadvantage of using it is the reloading time. Still, I’m surprised that Akari did not take advantage this weakness since she could have launch a surprise, but risky attack.
Of course, attacking her would not make any difference since it’s not the main objective of this test. She needs to have her attack flag touch the opponent’s eye flag to win. Despite Urara being a jerk as she tried to shoot Akari in the face, Akari managed to get the scooter to touch the flag to win. As expected, karma has caught up to Urara since her massive ego and self-pride simply got in the way. There is no wonder why she lost against Aria when trying to challenge her in order to become her Amica.
On the other hand, I’m surprised that Akari decides to save Urara despite being a big jerk. Apparently, a mysterious girl caused a domino reaction of bringing down the construction scaffolds around them. While Reki managed to shoot a good amount of the scaffolds from hitting the girls, Akari uses another secret skill to get Urara out of a metal barrel and escape in time before a big panel landed.
From this incident, I have a good feeling that Riko might be involved with this since she had another girl set up the chain reaction. Perhaps she done this to learn more about Akari’s hidden powers, which Aria is concerned about. Either way, this just shows that yet again, Akari has a lot of hidden potential that makes her more powerful than her E ranking says otherwise. Given that she passed the Quartet test, this means she is no longer bottom of the barrel. Even so, Akari has a long way to go until she reaches the same level as Aria. By passing this Quartet test, she is going in the right direction.
That image of Urara in the barrel said all that needed to be said. Like I said before RaiKi/KiriRai would be the most stable couple. They’re now the highlight.
Yep, they make a good pairing indeed given that they managed to trick them and won.
Still, I have a feeling that Urara won’t be bothering anyone anymore now that her inflated ego is broken, more so since she got saved by the person she doesn’t like.
