The day that Nao has been waiting for has arrived, but why Yuu feels nostalgic about the songs that Sala have sung at the concert?
From the looks of it, it’s quite obvious that Yuu is developing feelings for Nao. Just look at her. The casual clothing she was wearing and hair her ponytail makes her look too pretty. As expected, she was happy that she got a smartphone case that has her favorite band name on it. It just shows that she is a really big fan of the band.
Of course, the concert is not the main focus of this episode since it’s a catalyst for Yuu to remember a glimpse of the past that he seemed to have forgotten. Yep, this vision was a big bombshell as Yuu, his little sister and a few other recognizable people were basically test subjects in an undisclosed facility in the original timeline. As expected, Ayumi inherently used her collapse ability when she was evaluated, which leads Yuu to execute a plan that Kumagami gave to seek out his older brother to save her and everyone at the facility.
Wait, Yuu has an older brother? Apparently he does, but he doesn’t seem to remember since it got erased in the timeline he is currently in. In the original timeline, it is revealed that Yuu had a true ability aside from the ability to control people. It’s called “Plunder,” which allows him to steal abilities from other people. In short, he was able to get to his older brother, Sunsuke that was isolated in a room so that he can change the world to prevent this fate from happening.
Now that Yuu knows some things about the past and managed to meet his long-lost big brother, it makes me wonder if he is the one who founded the academy. It’s a good possibility since he has a team of people along with the student council seeking out people with abilities in order to have them transfer to Hoshinoumi Academy for safety or warn them not to use these powers.
Either way, it will be interesting to see what happens next when Sunsuke reveals the truth to Yuu. This makes me wonder if he will use his time leaping ability again to save Ayumi. Even so, I have a feeling that it won’t end well and fate might repeat itself once again, even if he manages to save her. We’ll see next time.
Interesting episode indeed. The way I see it, they might just time travel and save Ayumo, and that’s probably gonna be the end of the series, but with some plot twist and stuff still to come, I hope.
As you expect, that is what exactly happens and more so in the 10th episode… but I think there is some things that haven’t been revealed yet.
