While it felt short, the heroes’ adventure comes to an end, for now at least.
It seems that everything ended well for everyone with Milhi singing at the festival with Aria eventually joining. Thankfully, Verde was able to survive and return to his normal form with the cursed sword inside him destroyed. He happens to be a local god, which is no wonder why he became so powerful.
Aside from that, it’s cute that the Genoise trio is now pushing for Gaul and Aria. Not only that, he got a new friend that is very similar to Pega, except its black and having a bird-like appearance.
In the end, it feels like the heroes returning to earth already became a normal routine instead of an emotional one for the princesses. At least Shinku got to carry Milhi in his arms before he left, which is adorable. With that, a fourth season is already expected as our heroes returns to their normal lives until they get a chance to come back during winter break.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I felt that the third season was not as enjoyable in the same way like the first two seasons. It’s mostly because this season focused more on expanding the world if Flonyard and obviously, they tried to cram everything into one season. Despite this drawback, there were some aspects that I enjoyed such as Adel’s backstory focusing on her demon hunting adventure with Fi and expanding upon the world of Flonyard with the Dragon Forest and the Sky Whale. Not only that, we learned more about the demons thanks to Adel’s backstory. Still, there were some things like the origins of the cursed swords and how they play a role in creating demon disciples that they haven’t addressed yet. They will probably focus on that in the next season.
However, I have to admit that the new characters were enjoyable, especially Sharu since she is a cute horse-girl archer. It’s too bad that she didn’t get to spend more time visiting the three kingdoms or even saw any war games, which Aria wants to see in person so badly. I guess these things have to wait for the sequel. Since the show already expanded on Flonyard, I think the sequel will go back to its roots as Shinku tries to figures out what to do with his harem and hopefully Éclair will get more screen time.
