With Fubuki finally remodeled, it’s time to carry out the plan that the admiral left them. Still, it seems that Akagi feels a bit anxious about the operation over a vision she saw.
While the first part before the opening catch me off guard, I already knew that it’s not going to be an easy fight. As seen in her dream, she was escaping with a severely damaged Kaga until one of the Abyssals come up to her and bombed her.
We already know that once a ship girl sink, they are gone forever. Still, I wonder where she got the vision. Do ship girls retain their memories on how they sunk from their previous life? I wouldn’t think so considering that if you manage to build the same ship, they start with a clean slate. Either way, it does not look good.
Although Ooi gets separated from Kitakami again, it seems that everything is set. Not only that, Yamato is apparently participating in this battle after sitting at the sidelines for a while with a nice superstar entrance. This makes me wonder if they resolved her fuel consumption problem or not. Even so, it was heartwarming to see Yuudachi and Fubuki to meet up with Mitsuki during the morning hours to see her off before heading off to their mission.
From the looks of it, when Akagi decided to leave Fubuki and Kongou behind, I felt that she came off as being too overconfident. Sure, she severely damaged the Airfield Princess, but she also failed to realize the possibility that the Abyssal might be using the Airfield Princess as a decoy for their counterattack. From the looks of it, Akagi fell into their trap.
Now that she and Kaga can’t launch any more planes due to their bow getting snapped, does this mean that they are goners? To me, I think a miracle will happen since I expect Fubuki and Kongou coming to the rescue and shoot down the bomb at the last-minute. Then again, the admiral might be hiding to build a ship girl crucial to the success of the mission. Either way, I guess we will have to wait until next week to learn their fate and the outcome of the overall operation in the last episode.
Of course you can, if you’re Nanoha.
I haven’t seen StrikerS yet, but yep, she seem to definitely survived a near death experience. Won’t be surprised if this is the case here.
