It seems that the Producer is on a roll as another group already got a debut. Not only that, that said group consists of Kanako, Chieri and… Anzu?!
I have to admit, while it’s predictable that Kanako and Chieri will be together since they always spend time with each other, seeing Anzu of all people in a unit called “Candy Island” is very surprising. I would have thought that she would get paired up with Kirari since she already drags Anzu to do work. Even so, I think having Anzu in this unit makes perfect sense. Since Kanako loves making sweets, she can basically use them to motivate her to do work. In other words, having Anzu in this unit is a no-brainer even though she complains after her debut. Still, I admit that I can’t get enough of her laziness since it’s funny (besides the fact that she is one of my favorite CG idols).
As expected, Chieri is anxious about the idol game competition show, especially since it’s no longer focuses on trivia questions (besides the last event), but more on physical activities. While it’s somewhat disheartening to see the other team gain a big lead over them, I’m happy that Kanako lent her support for her unit. Still, it’s nice to see Kanako become motivated to get the marshmallow in her mouth in one of the events. Her reactions were cute, especially when she caught it in the last round in her mouth.
While the last round was intimidating since Candy Island had to win it or they would be forced to do a bungee jump, something that they don’t want to do, we learn a lot of interesting things about Anzu. It’s clear that she is lazy and would rather not want to work. Not only she was able to solve a physics problem in her head, and has a strong interest in Anime, which is quite obvious since she is a total NEET. I guess she is at her best when she doesn’t want to do the bungee jump. Despite being unable to answer the last question, Chieri managed to answer correctly. I guess the four-leaf clover gave her the luck she needed.
In the end, both teams tied in the end, meaning that both had to do the dreaded bungee jump. Still, I have to admit that there were a lot of enjoyable moments in this episode. In particular, the Producer dressing up as a frog to help Chieri overcome her anxiety was adorable. Aside from that, I wonder who will debut next time since the title is pretty vague.
That was mean of you reserving all your “I admit” here. Well it is your catchphrase so it makes sense.
Well done explaining how Anzu being in this group makes sense.
Anzu’s fans’ worst nightmare is her becoming a workaholic.
It was nice of Takane lending her iconic frog costume to Producer-Titan. Of course he’s not a god like Takane.
I highly doubt that she would become a workaholic… After all, she is just in it for the money. After a few days, I bet $100 that she will try to run away from doing work.
Kirari won’t be far behind.
