Despite the attack on the Navel Academy from last time, it looks like the Admiral’s plan remodel Fubuki will go forward. Then again, isn’t she working a bit too hard?
From a glance, people are wondering why the Admiral decided to pick Fubuki instead of a different ship girl. From a glance, while she has average stats, she always tries her hardest, but probably a bit too much. Besides getting jealous of Yuudachi’s new looks, I have a feeling that she is probably pushing herself a bit too hard. While running and training is okay, taking on the Abyssal on her own just to gain more experience is a bit too risky. In fact, she was almost on the verge of sinking. In the end, was it worth the trouble?
I admit that it was worrisome to see Fubuki get attacked throughout the first and second half of the episode in two separate events. Throughout the whole ordeal, Mutsuki become extremely worried. She feared that Fubuki would sink as mentioned earlier. It’s completely understandable since she already lost her sister in a surprise attack. However, for Fubuki, all of this could have been prevented if she didn’t go ahead for the sake of gaining more experience. It seems to me that Fubuki decided to carry the idiot ball in that battle. At least she shared her goals with Mutsuki of becoming useful to someone and promised her that she will always be by her side.
While Akagi and Kaga testing Fubuki’s skill was filled with suspense like the first battle, it shows her work ethics perfectly. No matter how many times Fubuki fails, she never gives up (aside from the fact that she wants to be Akagi’s escort so badly). Although Mutsuki got anxious at first when she saw her in bad shape, she eventually cheered her on. After many failed attempts, Fubuki was able to take down all the planes while achieving a high enough level for a remodel.
Besides some significant equipment upgrades, it seems that her appearance didn’t change at all as expected. It looks like she got her hopes up a bit too high. However, she shouldn’t be surprised considering that Yuudachi remodeled when she was at a high level. Aside from the preventable moments in the episode, I have to admit that Fubuki looks adorable in the wedding dress even though it’s completely random.
From the look of next episode’s title, things will get really serious as the plan to take on MI goes in full force. Hopefully, Fubuki’s upgraded weapons and an additional weapon slot will help achieve the Admiral’s goal to give the Abyssal a big blow.
Fubuki can at least count on Mutsuki always being there for her regardless of how carried away she can get at times.
Yep and from the look of her reactions, I doubt that she would leave anytime soon, even though she has a strong interest in Akagi.
