Shirobako – Episode 15
With the voice actors’ roles set in stone (poor Shizuka) and the new comers finally inducted, does this mean that Musashino Animation can finally start producing the show? Not so fast! While it was interesting to see all the meetings on how the production team decide on the various aspects of the show during pre-production, all of it came to an abrupt end and I saw it from a mile away. Now, the studio has to start over from the beginning since the author did not get any say in the production, which is very important.
As expected, getting things done ahead of time just looked too elusive mostly thanks to Murphy’s Law. Hopefully, this will be an opportunity for Shizuka to get a role since they are forced to start over. Either way, we’ll see the damage caused by the lazy editor next time.
I have to admit that the two new female production assistants (Tsubaki and Sara) are more competent than Tarou and that is saying a lot.
Dog Days Double Dash – Episode 3
As the demons take over the Dragon’s continent, the three kingdoms band together to take them down. The funny part about the whole thing is that the demon happens to be a Dragon Eater and it has tentacles, which makes it difficult to beat. As expected, the heroes take out the Hero Crystals to transform into their adult forms. Afterwards, they had an easier time defeating the demons.
Aside from that, I’m glad that Becky finally got a proper transformation compared to last season. Not only that, Nanami finally gets a hero crystal of her own and she looks pretty good in her adult form.
While Sharu managed to take down the Dragon Eater with her last arrow, is this the last time we will see her? I highly doubt it considering that she shows some romantic interest for Shinku and would rather not have him go to the Dragon’s continent to visit her. She would rather go and see him at Biscotti. Either way, his harem just got even bigger with Becky, Eclair and Milhi the main competitors.
